Also, there are now subtle "before and after" demonstrations of MixControl's usage available for preview. We will add more dramatic demonstrations later today as well.

Steven,

Besides further development of MixControl (or the replacement of it), are there plans to focus more on audio plugin development in general (on possible other effects/instruments?)

Our entire plan is to turn DNR Collaborative into a software development firm and reduce the frequency of sound library design and development. Building and releasing new software projects will allow us to build a stable foundation and once that is accomplished, we will be able to focus more broadly on developing more intricate sound libraries.

And what will you do with the current 1 and 2 year subscribers? Will they still be entitled to recieve all future products and updates from DNR during the subscription period?

Yes, all users who purchased 1 and 2 year subscriptions will be able to access these products as they become available, whether sound libraries or audio plug-ins.

Sorry, I didn't see your question - to answer that bluntly, "It wasn't me, I swear it" :) This is something that either Michael or Reason should answer, for I do not have the proper education of the device to explain what it would benefit exactly.

Hi Steven,

did you already add the new version to all user accounts? Mine still shows only the old version.

Thanks.

Lucky you!

Mine has only v1.0.6 listed :?

1.06 IS the latest version but now it's available in vst3 (in the past it was only 2.4) so the version you see in your account is probably the latest version:

The second version has a typing error, it should be 64-bit version. The download is 64-bit anyway.

Yes!

Why would you want to remove it?
Yes - what would be the point of a comprehensive mixing tool that doesn't have a limiter?
my thoughts, exactly

mixcontrol is a great all-in-one....my only complaint is with certain elements of the eq implementation...mixcontrol isn't that broke that it needs a complete redesign

if you wanna develop separate plugs, why not, but please don't remove these elements from mixcontrol....

Is the AU 06 version also 64bit? Also agree that MicControl is pretty fab as is although there is always room for improvement but the GUI is definitely ready for a makeover. I use the limiter on vocals sometimes so it would be nice if that stayed and as someone stated there's the issue with backwards compatibility.

Thanks for trying to help, but I'm afraid you have the old version as well. v1.0.6 is available for quite a while now.

The new version, which is available as a demo download from their site, has version 1.0.7r and supports external sidechain

Yes, sorry for the wait - it is now available from your user accounts. From the beta-testing records there doesn't seem to be much in the way of feedback on the actual usage, as the beta-testing response was weak at best. If anyone encounters any errors, please add the bug report to our support forum, or contact us through our support e-mail address. We have also added a sub-forum for MixControl bug reports.

Since we are still discussing various possibilities, one is to continue updating MixControl for users who enjoy the original version. We will need to discuss this with the developer, as our main concern is to finish building this new project and making it available sometime over the next few months. Another main concern is the inclusion of an RTAS and x64 AU versions, which we will discuss with the community through our forum when the time comes.

We will keep users updated with progress and if there are any suggestions or feature requests, please keep them coming - we are open to all new ideas and possible inclusions.

you already have a great product, with many satisfied customers....the only real complaint most of us have is in the user interface....

i can undertand you wanting to generate new business, with new products, but mixcontrol never got a chance to 'mature'.....why are you looking to reinvent the wheel..update the ui and add some of the, requested, eq functionality and you are improving on something that has a proven track record

you would then have more time, energy, budget to work on more unique projects

my 0.02 cents
