I asked about this before, but thought "maybe" they'd change the ending date so it goes on into June, if there were enough sales. :)

Squids says he checked with IK and they said no to extending it. The $99 price tag is their call, so esoundz really doesn't have a say in the matter.

Unless they suddenly change their minds, no go on the extension. Get it while you can.

Yep, no extension that I've heard of so this is it! We have no control over the price and it will have to go up once the promo is over.

The free Miroslav Outtakes library (for anyone who buys at least one of the IK VI from www.esoundz.com specifically since it is an exclusive SR & eSoundz offer) will be available next week in everyone's download area on esoundz that participated in the GB.

Anyway, THIS IS IT! Your last chance for the $99 deal on IK and IK/SR virtual instruments powered by SampleTank!

torgo wrote:There are several mandolins (seven sounds, but a few are pretty similar) including regular and baritone mandolins plus tremolo. The niftiest is one "tremolo VX" patch - if you play the notes at regular velocity, you get single notes. Slap the note at harder velocity and hold it, and you get the tremolo. You'd need to tweak the velocity curve a bit to fit your playing style, but it has real potential.
I would give the tremolo another try (haven't been able to test it yet, but I was inspiered by your earlier posts, torgo, and I think it should work...):
If you laver s single-tone mandoline and a tremolo one in two slots, but on the same midi-channel and modulate the volume with the modwheel or sustain-pedal (or more simple modulate the mute-buttons) one positive and one negative, you can change the sound on the fly, too. And you will still have full velocity on both styles...

Hey, what do you think about this:
CURENTLY THE NUMBER FOR THE GROUP BUY IS: 344
Almost half-way to the next goal - so maybe it's truely possible for everyone to get a FOURTH free extension pack PLUS the miro outtakes. It keeps thrilling!

Dads among us: Treat yourself on Father's Day and grab a nice deal!

Sure the $99 deal ending rely on IK, but reactivating the $10/$15 coupons could probably assure the 400 goal!

We're still moving at the 12 per day pace needed to get us really, really close to 400. I just received the email from IK about the sale ending in a few days, so they've put out the word that something is up.

Hopefully any "regulars" will know to check esoundz first before buying elsewhere.

Also... to me the big weekend sale on ReFills for Reason only underlines what a great deal the SampleTank-based libraries really are.

The Miroslav ReFills are selling for $24.65 each this weekend. Note that in Reason format the full library is split into six parts - for a total price of $147.90. (Or you can get them all in one package, but the sale price on that is $149. I'm guessing esoundz didn't quite think that one through. Anyone buying it definitely isn't thinking it through.)

Okay, that's a great sale price on a hot new product line for Reason. And if you're a Reason user, you need to stay within Reason's enclosed environment. It makes sense, and it's great that Miroslav is at long last available in Reason format.

But by comparison, the Miroslav Philharmonik plug-in is on sale for $99 for a few more days, and through this group buy you also get the extra outtakes plus three ReTank libraries of your choice (and a chance at a fourth). You get even more, and you save an extra 30%.

Likewise, the Sonic ReFills are $10 each - or all 20 for $149. Squids bills that deal as "one of the stupidest, craziest, brainless, wackiest UNBELIEVABLE deals" that Esoundz has ever done.

And yet you could save still another $50 by going with Sonik Synth or SampleTank XL for $99 instead. It just shows what amazing bargains last year's two huge group buys and now this promo really are.

I wonder if the sale price on Musician's Friend's site for Total Workstation 2 will finish at the end of the month also? :?

Maybe they set their own pricing as the IK site doesn't have this one on sale, and it is a special order type of thing...the site says you have to wait 23 days before it's shipped.

And yeah, ObiK, that's a great way to get that "mastered" EQ curve too! And saw your post in the other thread, but I'm more partial to the STXL pianos than Sonik Synth's, but torgo would agree with you! C'est la vie...

I'm putting out the VI GB word on other KVR threads, (as you know ObiK) but that may be preaching to the choir! (Shout out to fellow GA boy Reverend Rhythm!)

Yeah but it just shows how diverse the musical palette this group buy offers! And thanks for spreading the word! :D

You're welcome!
And I agree! Between Sonik Synth, STXL, Miroslav, and the Piano Collection 2, Omnisynth and Hip Hop Instruments freebies, (not to mention the very fine ones in Squid's Rare Instruments Vol. 1, Acoustic), I'm SET for piano!
And damn near everything else!

And that's the beauty of this group buy, you can build a custom synth workstation, or fill in any blank spots in your library for under $100!

I bought in twice during the Expansion Tank GB last summer, (once IK, and once thru eSoundz) and the 5x1 VI GB last fall, and couldn't be happier!

I'm also a dedicated AmpliTube and T-rackS user, (also a GB!) and just bought CSR yesterday from MF. I'm COUNTING the days til it arrives! (Examigan, FYI, I bought it around 11pm est, and at midnight got an email it had shipped (!), so they may be figuring worst case scenario. That bundle IS a great deal if you don't need the Expansion Tank sounds.)

I've got Waves, Lexicon, NI, all the stock Digi/Bomb Factory plugs and tons of hardware synths, but lately, the power and quality of IK/SR stuff is all I need. And the new toys promise to be even better!

I've seen some grumbling elsewhere about IK/eSoundz "shills" who just post glowing comments on boards, but I'm not one of them.

Just a VERY satisfied customer who can't believe how much firepower I've got on an OLD ppc mac for under $1000.

I've gotten four other folks to buy into various GBs by word of mouth, and if we all do half that, 4x1, EASY!

Your old PPC Mac is why I'm so big on the ST-engine products too. Music is just a hobby for me - I run a small company that does medical data analysis work. The side effect is that I'm up to my ears in spare computers from yesteryear.

It's even better to re-use than to recycle. Unwanted old computers can still become great musical instruments, and SampleTank Free can give a whole new life to an older machine otherwise destined for recycling or a landfill. You don't even need a sequencer/workstation. SampleTank runs just fine as a standalone instrument.

Even something like an old 800 mHz P-III or Athlon will do.

Put XP on it. Add an Audigy sound card that has pins to add an external panel, and then add a Soundblaster Live! Drive front panel - the card and panel are both usually dirt cheap on eBay. (If you have the spare PCI slots, you might also add a USB2 card and perhaps a SATA card. They're dirt cheap on eBay too.)

You'll then have high quality sound, low-latency ASIO capabilities, front panel quarter inch headphone and mic input connectors with volume knobs, plus those old school full-sized MIDI connectors to hook up a keyboard, drum machine, etc that lacks USB. (Some Live! Drive models also have RCA audio in/out and optical connectors.)

Install SampleTank Free, give it some 'Tron sounds from Squids Tron Collection, SampleTron or Sonik Synth, hook up any old MIDI keyboard, and you have a do-it-yourself Mellotron that's superior to the original M400.

It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Sure the $99 deal ending rely on IK, but reactivating the $10/$15 coupons could probably assure the 400 goal!
