Hmm...
In the last OSC were about 5 or 6 winners, right?

How many winners could be in this OSC?

There is a general rule for winners? I mean, 3 as maximum, normally? (for example)

I'm just wondering...

And what a pity about V'ger, i'm going to miss his track this time

1/4 of the entries gets prizes, so with more than 20, 5 will obviously get this time. Last time was just unusual in that we were promised 6 licenses by Linplug for only that competition so the top 6 got even if the entries were fewer than 24.

And cheers for nice comment, but I just didn't have the mojo to finish my initial idea which is a real shame since this is such a brilliant synth..

We made it in time!

Here is our submission to this month's contest.

RuediRena - Pommesexport

We have Quadcore 3,2 GHz which helped with CPU usage

About two thirds of CPU was used, but everything was rather smooth. We switched from LMMS to Reaper under Wine/Ubuntustudio 10.10. Thanks again to glokraw for turning us to Reaper.

We used 13 instances of Tyrell.

Patches:
Fat Snare (G3) NF
Kick-02 NF
Closed Hihat-1 NF
Open Hihat-1 NF
Claps-03 NF
Velocity-Unobass (modified from Unobass-2 NF to give velocity)
Dirty Sync
Plink1 (another modified sound to play the "rhythm guitar")

Cheese schnell (a cheesy organ modified by RuediRena)

A bit late, but I uploaded mine, it's called :

"What the Fugue ?".

14 x Tyrell :
8 x Percussion : (one shot sampled) Kick,Toms(2),Claps,OHH,ClHH,Maracas,Snare.
6 x Melodic : Bass,Pulsating,VoxHumanaStrings,Harp,Seeq,Flute.

Track FX :

2 x Classic Compressor
1 x ADT
1 x ReaComp
2 X Classic Delay (Send)
1 X Omniverb (Send)

Some trackEQ, No automation.

Master Fx :

1 x VoxengoMSED
1 x NyquistEQ
1 x OvertoneGEQ
1 x TLs Maximizer.

Cut it close, but I'm in!

Track: JoeCat - Another Industrial Accident

DAW: Logic 8
System: MacBook Pro 2.8G 8M
Instances of Tyrell: 31 (jeez!)

Effects Used:
Martin Eastwood Reverb appears on most tracks via 2 sends,
TAL Dub II Delay gently appears (no filtering or modulation) on a 7 tracks - most delays are LFO,
Audio Damage RoughRider Compressor used throughout (most percussion, bass, and some FX tracks, and master)
Yohng W1 Limiter (master only). Logic EQ on most tracks and master, Smartelectronix s(M)exosc for metering.

Some automation is used, mostly for panning, volume, etc. (most modulation accomplished with the mod wheel, thanks to those extra mod slots in Tyrell)

More than half the patches are original, the rest are largely tweaked. Shoutouts to noisefactory for some of the percussion and Howie for Slowdonia. From the Tyrell Patch Contest, thanks to Roman Prokovev for Digital Scream and Vivolator for Glass Impulse. My own two entries (Cinematech and WakeupMan) appear in the "breakdown". Thanks to Urs and the all the organizers, the awesome KVR community (which I've just discovered); if I've omitted anyone it's unintentional.

As an aside - without the freeze function, this would have been impossible (with awesome sound comes awesome challenges). That said, I was generally able to keep about three tracks unfrozen, which makes arranging at least possible (so you can work on percussion sounds together, etc).

This was tons of fun - thanks again to Urs, V'ger and the organizers.. As in the Tyrell patch contest, I am already humbled by the entrants

Keep 'em coming guys, the record number of entries is achievable with still about 10 hours to go??

The Synth1 comp had 27 entries, but Mr blitzes two tracks were judged as two parts of one entry. So if we call it 26, Tyrell has equalled that record number ... one more and Tyrell would be regarded as the record holder, two more and it would be a clear triumph

Well done everyone, some amazing sounds, tricks and tracks in there.

Like sometime there is less controversy and political shit going on in Aberdeen? or when I am no longer editor of Aberdeen Voice and have to pounce on stories? When my kids dont invade my studio?

I loved working with this one, even if I got no further than some decent beats, a couple of bass sounds, and some quirky scrapes .... can we do it again? please

The main bass part was "frozen" in Ableton live, aside from that, no samples were used.

Tyrell was Sampled and the dry samples loaded into Nerve. No Nerve DSP effects were used.

16 Nerve Pads, each containing 1 Sample were used to construct the Main Dubstep Bass parts and panning only.

Open to everyone, but with a little detail. You must have a minimum of 20 post in the forum (you have 5 right now) or having participated in the challenge of this month. If i can remember well.
This is for avoid cheaters who calls their friends to make them voting for his song.
