I just wanted to share a work around I found in reaper for using synth edit plug ins with multiprocessor bugs. Right click and run as dedicated processor. This will let you run without DAW crashing.

That's interesting, I've never tried that. I just compile multiple versions with incremented numbers.

It wouldn't be necessary with anyone using the latest Synthedit, but the old stable engine was nice.

'Buggy plugin compatibility mode' works well enough here on dual core and XP (32). I only need to run ShortCircuit2 as dedicated process (which basically means using an external vst host).

I never had the SE Dual Core problem on my dual core (it seems to be machine dependend), but it's good to know that Reaper trick for the future....

Indeed - I just picked up a couple of Ugos plugins and was glad that a similar thing exists in FL Studio - open up the plugin, go into its individual settings (the cog in the corner) and select single thread (or something..) which solved my problems :)

In FL turning off the "reset plugin on transport" option solve most of the problems.
