Now that I've had an iPad for a few months, I've picked up a few music apps, but not much so far. So far I have picked up
NanoStudio
iMS-20
iElectribe
iElectribe Gorillaz Edition
Rebirth
Garage Band
Looking for more worthy apps. Suggestions?

SynthX
Beatmaker 2
If you have a lot of Soundfonts, then bs-16i is cool
If you have money to burn Aurora is deep and really amazing, but not traditional.
Garageband, not as a DAW but just to play with the instruments...
Xenon is also actually pretty good, and unlike NS and BM2 is a native iPad app...
Molten can help make some beats as well....

iSequence HD has a great sampler
Studio.HD for sequencing all of the audio loops you made and copy/pasted from your other apps.

+1 for Thumbjam, much more fun and full of potential than it looks. Also very nice to use as a MIDI controller. I mostly use my iPad as a touch controller, MidiMe and Drumpads are great for that too. Soundprism Pro is also very much fun to use with MIDI and pad-like sounds. I also really like Samplelab and Soundyeah for capturing sounds and playing around with. Another must have is Chordbot, a really easy and intuitive app to try out chord progressions.

any of these apps allow sequencing in different time signatures, and with the ability to change the signature mid-sequence

Got this for $1.99. Not bad so far, need to dig in further. I like how you can change the resolution per quarter beat too, that's nice.Dewaine wrote:Molten can help make some beats as well....

MIDI Touch by iOS is by far my favorite iPad app. It's so easy to create custom controls for any synth. I've wanted a customized controller for Camel Audio Alchemy for years, and yesterday I created a custom controller for all of its performance controls in about 10 minutes. WiFi setup was a piece of cake, too. Love this app!

why would you pay for this when 'touchosc' is free, and seems to do the same thing ??
