Thanks Niels
A bit of analysis for those who are interested :
1/ The Xmen vote didnt change the TOP 5 established by people who voted in KVR. So there's a kind of coherence between the 2 votes.
2/ Tracks who received at least one TEN (10)
There were 15 different tracks who received at least a 10. This alone show the high level of the competition. Whatever your music style, this contests should learn to a lot of contestants that some potential lovers are waiting for your music in the world.
The winner got 5 TEN, but TENs were not required to be on the Podium. The third winner did not have any TEN, and he placed his track before Penguin who is the 10th in the contest with his second song, and received 3 TEN for this one. But he got a lot of NINEs
3/ Tracks who received at least one NONE or EIGHT note (ie a vote to be on the podium )
Almost ALL TRACKS received at least a 9 or a 8 ( Some many more )
Here again this shows the overall quality of the tracks.
If you put a track on the podium with your vote, this migh just mean that its not the track you'll think of and want to hear when you wake up, but this means that's its a track you will always have pleasure to hear on the radio when driving.
In our life we hear a lot of music by accident we then like or love : at friend's, while driving, shopping etc. So here again this means that your music has its place somewhere in the universe.
Our champions change over time, and though some songs are a part of ourselves until the end of times, some new musics are constantly added in our hearts and memory.
They just ADD.
Thanks for adding your music by using the Xils-Lab Contest opportunity.
It has been a lot of fun (and work ) for us, and we hope it has been the same for you.
And that you'll enjoy the prizes
Results of the contest are in page 7 of this tread.

Congratulations winners! Was a great contest and an excellent collection of songs. Perhaps we do another one when the synthex (oops, I mean x-synth) comes out!

Whoa! I'm totally speechless
This was totally unexpected for me and what a nice surprise it is, warms my heart! I thought the quality of the contest was outstanding and there were so many good tracks (and I thought better than my efforts) that I never could've believed this outcome actually! Also I thought my other track was better, but it's hard to know for yourself
I hereby thank from the bottom of my heart all the contestants, people who voted me and of course the X-men for this amazing contest!!! Love ya all! Congratulations to the other winners too, everybody was awesome! Everybody is a winner! It's very rare I think that the quality in such contest is so consistently good, goes to show how talented people there are on these forums.
Xtra thanx to Lotuzia for the deep analysis (so nice to read!) and running the contest, thanks for all the hard work, Yayy!
I'm going to open a nice bottle of French wine to celebrate tonight!

Congratulations for all the winners, well deserved! Thanks to X-Men for voting my song, it appears that nobody else liked it. Anyway, I'm glad I participated, I learned a lot in the process.

Congratulations to the winners, and thanks again for the votes! Thanks also to Ltz and Xavier for running this contest, and their generosity with the prizes for everyone. And special thanks to Laurent for his very philosphical, very encouraging post-contest analysis - what a nice guy
This has been great fun, looking forward to the next one...

Mr. Breeze,
You have my full respect!! To make something from scratch or take an idea in your head an lay it down is no easy task. I heard this happen 41 times. Every last person who participated in this contest is amazing!!! We all spoke the same language through these wonderful synths and made our own master pieces! Special thumbs up to Aersko and Andre you both had 2 songs in the top 10 equally impressive!!
Farewell my friends!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Congrats everybody ! It's been a fun month long event!
Special congrats to the ones who just used the Xils3 and the PolyKB, without any external drums or whatever. Maybe it was harder, but it was the most true to the spirit, imho.
"Shiny Caravans" really moved me, great lyrics, and sober but twisted way of using the synths, i thought it would get more votes (sorry, i didn't make it to vote
). At last something original ...
Thank you Lunatic, Madsmac, Mellotronaut for voting my (100%Xils3) track.
Thank you X-Men for your generosity and for ... (if i'm not mistaken)...
making me #2 of the X-Men's vote, with 81 points !
Mmmm ! Happy !

Wow. I feel very honored to be anywhere near that high on the list, and doubly so to be surrounded with some of the talent that I am.
A special congratulations to PenguinFromDeep: when I submitted my first track I said that you'd set the bar high, and indeed that proved to be the case. The first track to be submitted took home the gold, and I can't think of another track in the contest that deserves 1st place more than PolyKBoogie!
I thought that there were many tracks more deserving of third place than mine, but I rather like the fact that I worked my way in there with not a single 10 point vote. If my whole music career can only be like that, I will be very happy.
I learned a lot listening to every one you, and I'll be listening to many of these tracks for a long, long time, I can tell you that!

Serious thanks, folks! Very deeply appreciated. Really looking forward to taking the PolyKB player for a spin!
I wish I'd had the time to listen to more of the tunes and/or vote properly - will all 41 tracks remain listenable for a little while, at least?
Thanks again, and congrats to everyone. This was fun!
