Can anyone tell me the chords in this melody?

I cant figure them out and would appreciate some help haha :)

The bass plays something like G F Eb.
A higher parallel line goes Bb A G.

Does that help?

I won't call that "chords" yet btw, for that there needs to be some more harmonical content.

You've asked several questions of this kind, Jimmy, but you never came back to say "Thank You". Ever.
For this you get a :smack: for free from me.

the only 'question' asked there is 'please do this work for me', which isn't a music theory problem. there's going to be a next time, same problem, which is a problem of laziness. doing their hearing for them is only coddling, it isn't going to help them learn.

Couldn't agree more.

Jimmy, attempt to do it yourself next time. If it's difficult for you, a great way of building your ear for transcribing music is by learning to sing by humming (or singing solfege, if you're into that) along to musical scales and intervals.

If you still can't do it, come back here, tell us what you've done and someone awesome like C00kie will lend a helping hand... if you also remember your manners.

I don't read MIDI tetris very well but it seems you are getting warm. I'll give you some hints regarding the chords...

Three main harmonies going on: Gm7 EbMaj7 Fm7

It's the old "piano claw". Play notes G, Bb, D, F

Retain same claw position. Move entire shape down to Eb, G, Bb, D then move shape up a step to F, Ab, C, Eb

Is this an old 90's track? Seems like that piano rhythm is a 90's idiom...or maybe it's back in style again?

I'd like to see the old Hammond B3 bassline come back into style again. That was a nice sound from the 90s.

I don't know, to be honest I could only stand the song for 12 seconds (I owe my neighbor a new kitten now). Maybe I missed a chord somewhere.

Keep working with it...get the rhythm right....donk donk donk donk donk-donk

Don't give up, and don't deprive yourself of this great learning experience! :)
