I got Komplete 6 but i would not use this as my only sound sources, especially as a sound designer. Kontakt 4 and FM8 were used for the PPG sound set. I also tried to tweak some samples with Absynth 5 but at the end i used the Spectral engine of Alchemy.

Let me guess that the 2 other synths are Synthmaster 2.5 and Curve or am i wrong?
Strange thing that you have installed none of the synths which you made the soundbanks for. :o

You guess right Ingo  Komplete will not be my only sound source though for stuff, i have hardware synths etc. I will end the synth sound design stuff with Synthmaster and some Curve presets then i will focus on sample packs and music production.. There's no more synths out there that make me wanna do sounds for except maybe a couple of instruments in Komplete

Good luck for your future work. I hope we could expect some Kontakt instruments based on your old sound sets.

I'll be digging more into Kontakt 4 myself soon with help of Steve from Synth Magic.
I also started using some of my own samples in the Blofeld or my Motif ES 7.

Anyway i am still happy with all the Waldorf stuff. Besides doing more presets for Curve the next banks will be for Synthmaster 2.5 and Largo it looks. A Blofeld bank including samples is on my plan too.
You could also say that i got something like a "Komplete Waldorf". Here is what i got at the moment: Blofeld desktop (with SL upgrade), PPG Wave 3.V, Largo, Lector (beta version) and the Waldorf Edition (PPG Wave 2.V, D-Pole, Attack). :)

BTW do you still own a Blofeld desktop?

Hello Ingo,

I have a Blofeld yes with SL, i don't need all the soft synths though mate..
If some of them were'nt NFR i'd have sold them anyways  Iv'e just never installed much on my new HDD.

Hi everyone,

it looks like Steve Porter from Synth Magic will do a demo for this sound set too. He'll receive the full version of the plugin next week. He had the demo version before but this was timed out.

I just replaced the zip files of the Audio demos with files that could be directly played here at KVR. With the right click menu you could still download the files if needed.

Steve got the PPG Wave 3.V today and already finished the first demo, more will follow. I'll publish the links when Steve is finished and gives his OK.

Together with my small demos for all presets i'll send those to Waldorf next week. Hopefully the official release will not take long after that.

Here is the first "official" audio demo based on the sample of a preset which i created on Synth Magic ARP Quadra:

https://rapidshare.com/files/453182478/ ... hs_new.mp3

This song is based on a single instance of the preset played with both hands. The drums are from FXpansion Geist and no further processing/FXs (except fade-out) was used for the song.

Here are 3 more audio demos which are based on single cycle waves created with Cableguys Curve:

https://rapidshare.com/files/2129148448 ... e_Poly.mp3

https://rapidshare.com/files/196593722/ ... _Pad_1.mp3

https://rapidshare.com/files/1335050827 ... _Pad_2.mp3

Those songs are based on a single instance of the preset played with both hands. The drums are from FXpansion Geist and no further processing/FXs (except fade-out) was used for the song.

The next one is based on a sample i made based on a preset i made with FXpansion Amber (drums again from FXpansion Geist):
https://rapidshare.com/files/2428985218 ... trings.mp3

In the final demos i'll put 16 demos together in one MP3 as 128 links would be a bit too much. :)

Hi Ingo,
I really like this sound. It has good texture and the reverb just reinforces it. Very raw, gritty, yet full of lushness. The vibrato also works very well and smears the sound which again, works brilliantly with the reverb. Great job. I just wish there was no drum intro in your demos, as I want to hear the sound *now* rather than listen to a drum beat. :)

Hi Raphael,

thanks for your nice comment. :)

The thing with the drums is new in my demos. Normally i used only "raw" sounds like in the demos at the OP. I think that not all of the 128 presets demos will include drums.

BTW the vibrato in that sound was added with aftertouch.

I found it's more fun to do those demos with the use of some drums. This also gives the opportunity to play a lttle with Geist now. For some reasons this seems to be more inspiring than Guru but i still got Guru installed too until i converted all kits and patterns.

Using drums in demos is great as it puts the sound in context, but I would cut the solo drum intro in each demo, it really is not needed (the intro only). For example, I wanted to quickly hear the difference between the Additive Pad 1 and Additive Pad 2 demos, but the drum intro in each demo just made it more awkward to compare.

Vibrato via aftertouch. :tu: My preferred method as well. Again, great job on these.

Hi Raphael,

i changed the wav files a bit now. The intro is shorter and the rest woeks as a fade-in. The next time i publish a demo here it will be the big files with 16 demos in one mp3.

I know you like it. :D This is one of the first features i check in each synth to be honest. All of the 128 presets of this soundbank contain either aftertouch or Modwheel modulation. You could check the list in the manual (PDF at the OP) for details.
In the PPG Wave 3.V the modulation is normally switched to the Modwheel except if you use the "Touch" button in the "MOD" page. With this you could use the Modheel to control the amount of the Aftertouch modulation. You could see this in the presets if the initial position of the Modwheel is not at zero.

Hi everyone,

like already announced Steve Porter from Synth Magic created two Audio demos for my "Atmospheric Transients" sound set. IMO those are both really great but you could see (and hear) yourself:

https://rapidshare.com/files/3491343993 ... h_Love.mp3

PS:
Steve proposed i should choose the track names myself so don't blame him about those...

Have fun,

Hey Ingo,so you did call it from the UK with love :)
I'm still delving into this PPG synth, there is quite a lot to it isn't there?

Hi Steve,

yes, like already mentioned this is based on the message "From Germany With Love" which i get anytime i turn on the Blofeld. :)
It's also based on a part of the vocals.

I agree, there is more than it seems at the first look. Anyway this is one of the few synths where you should look at the manual to be aware about all features. With the wavetables, sample import and the internal FXs this is very flexible which is what i wanted to demonstrate with this sound set (and with the factory sounds)... :D

One of my next banks is for Largo which does not allow sample import so far so the focus will be on VA and wavetable sounds there. I'll also try to improve some of my free Largo sounds (available here at "Banks & patches" and at Waldorf) for this.
Those free sounds were the reason why i finally got contact to Waldorf some time ago when Wolfram asked if he could add those to the Waldorf download area.
