Yes, they will be 64-bit for VST and Audio Units on Mac, and VST on PC.
Pro-Tools is still 32-bit only, so no 64-bit RTAS.

Good question. I'd like to know the answer to this as well.

To go even more OT, that clip on ABC news is awesome. What a great thing you did!

Personally I really like CSR, I got it for free on a promotion a few years ago. It is my main algo reverb, it is lexicon-ish IMO.

SampleTank 3 will load all previously existing ST libraries, including Miroslav CE. Likewise, SampleTank FREE does as well, so you can get the latest update of the SampleTank engine, plus 500mb of free samples by grabbing that from here: SampleTank FREE download.

What I don't know yet is if we're going to have free version like this available immediately when we release SampleTank 3.

You mean you aren't sure when the free version will be released as x64?

I mean that I don't know if or when we will have a a free version of SampleTank 3 available. SampleTank 3 will be 64-bit, so any free version would also be 64-bit. I do not believe there will be a 64-bit update for SampleTank 2 products.

Demo'd it and love it. But can't justify paying way over £130 for it. Its odd though as there's the IK Multimedia Ultimate Mastering bundle where you get CSR AND T-Racks3 for £102! That's great but T-Racks doesn't appeal so if IK dropped CSR for <£55 I'd snap it up straight away. I have Miroslav and love it, I'm just praying that CSR is on offer one day soon

Try ValhallaRoom for 50 USD instead...

The T-Racks bundle is actually really useful. I bet you'd be surprised after you started using them.

You get paid to write something like this :P

I loved my CSR reverb back in 2007.

I fell in love all over again with the Lexicon PCM Bundle but couldn't justify the purchase. But oh look, LXP Native Reverb Plug-In Bundle for $420.00 direct, possibly less from plugindiscounts.com .

You get Chamber, Hall, Plate and Room with the LXP Bundle vs. the Native Bundle which has Random Hall, Concert Hall, and Vintage Plate on top of LXP's but at $600+ the cost.

Don't skimp on your reverbs. Get one good "colored", algorithm-based one like Lexicon and one "realistic" convolution-based one like AltiVerb. For MOST mixes I use a colored one like CSR or Lexicon because they just "sound better" in a mix. It depends on the music genre and arrangement, really. But if you can only get one I'd get Lexicon LXP.

If that's too pricey than CSR is still pretty bad ass. I don't know what some of the others were saying about it sounding metallic. I think if IK charged $500 for it people may have a different perception. :hihi:

Yes, indeed :)

@4ppleseed: I find even more odd that, as of now, that bundle is "half x64 / half x86".

Still, I'm a CSR lover and look forward to an update... I'm actually of those who consider it a little metallic and grainy, but this does not mean it's not good. Breverb sounds smoother to me, but sometimes I just need CSR to get the right sound - particularly metal vocals / snares. Moreover, it's very tweakable, so you can get it to sound the way you need.

I put CSR on sale a couple times because I'm migrating to all x64, but always pulled it back and waiting for it to become x64. Just hope it won't gather a ton of dust while waiting.
