Does anyone know what happened to Electronics for Music (EFM)? I was interested in some of their plugs but their site is down. This is the latest working web address, but none of the links work:

EFM = Tom Gamble, aka tomg. His last post here was last December, and then http://www.ele4music.com was still online. I dunno what happened, he didn't say goodbye or whatever afaik.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

He's sick, and probably doesn't want to talk in circles about virtual analog stuff with strangers.

Thanks! I sifted through hundreds of posts on KVR trying to find alternate places their software may be mirrored, but found nothing. I was hoping for a situation similar to that for Fretted Synth, where Rekkerd hosts all of their plugs (http://rekkerd.org/fretted-synth/).

Sorry to hear that. BTW, I'm not interested in talking endlessly either. Just wanted to know if the software was available and where.RunBeerRun wrote:He's sick, and probably doesn't want to talk in circles about virtual analog stuff with strangers.

The EFM synths seem to be stored over there as well.

Unfortunately, they're not stored there, just listed. All the links are to http://www.ele4music.com, which is down.C00kie wrote:Well, you can try Gersic:dloiacono wrote:I was hoping for a situation similar to that for Fretted Synth, where Rekkerd hosts all of their plugs (http://rekkerd.org/fretted-synth/).

Thats weird. I clicked on one of the pictures, and was promted to store a zip file. This then got blocked, since I can't download executables here at work.dloiacono wrote:Unfortunately, they're not stored there, just listed.

You're right - about half of them are directly downloadable.C00kie wrote:Thats weird. I clicked on one of the pictures, and was promted to store a zip file. This then got blocked, since I can't download executables here at work.dloiacono wrote:Unfortunately, they're not stored there, just listed.
Unfortunately more than half don't work since they point to EFM's site. Naturally, the ones I want fall into that category...
Thanks again; at least I can download some of them.

If you go check, you'll find that some of the links on the Gersic site work, and some don't ... DrumKit2, Alpha2, Micro-Modular, SCI Prophet 5 Emulator, Pro-1 and JXEmulator are all available. I just downloaded them.dloiacono wrote:Unfortunately, they're not stored there, just listed. All the links are to http://www.ele4music.com, which is down.C00kie wrote:Well, you can try Gersic:

[EDIT] I see you sussed it out

Unfortunately, it looks like the Gersic site has been abandoned altogether. It is still up, but a lot of weeds are growing around it.

Yeah I think Gersic isn't going anywhere, no new listings in a long time since the spammed forum got locked.
