I use TouchAble with Ableton Live or TouchOSC with Numerology. Generally I just use my iPad as a wireless control surface for my DAW but sometimes I play with noises in Jasuto pro or Moog Filtertron.

I was going to start a new thread for much the same thing, but I'll add to this instead. I'm interested in the Omni TR app, but would also like to use TouchOsc to control other plugs, such as my Wavestation and Stylus RMX. I'm on PC, and I'd be approaching the network setup like a newbie for this. Does anyone have working Touchosc templates for their plugin instruments, and how well do they do their job? Not about to spring for an iPad if it doesn't work as I'd like it to...

I put together an interface for Alchemy in REAPER using Miditouch in about an hour and is very reliable.

I haven't used TouchOSC with it's new midi capabilities yet. I just send OSC messages to Numerology or Max/MSP. I really like TouchOSC. Very flexible and pretty easy to create new controllers and interfaces. I used OSCulator briefly, which was very easy to use in OSX.

I use the MIDI Touch app for creating custom controllers for my soft synths and effects and I use AC-7 Core and V-Control as control surfaces for my DAW. The Omni TR is a very nice dedicated controller for Omnisphere as well - I'd love to see more developers provide free dedicated apps for controlling their plugins.

That's great to hear. I know, from my reading around, that I need to enable a puredata port in order to get this talking via WiFi. Do I need to do much if I use, say, the USB camera connector kit? Also, if I use wifi and MidiYoke, does it interfere or override the MIDI I/O that I already have in my hybrid hard/spft setup?

I'm specifically interested in Aalto, and I have a dream of something similar to the MadronaLabs Soundplane but on the iPad. Konkreet performer looks amazing, too..

I configured puredata once on a Windows machine and remember it being a bit of a pain. In OSX it's painless. I just set up TouchOSC via the CoreMIDI network in the space of a minute or so. In OSX midi-over-lan and midi between applications is all handled by the OS via CoreMIDI. In Windows I believe there is a tool for emulating the CoreMIDI network that you would use with something like midiyoke yo transmit to applications but I don't know any details. MIDIyoke should have no problem coexisting with any hardware MIDI drivers or such.
