I'm thinking of buying either an i pad or a galaxy tab.
I would love to have some creative apps on it for music making, so i can make tracks mobile, or just record fun stuff.

The more creative and out of the box the better, but i also like the fruity loops mobile thingie.

what can you guys recommend?

I use Android and I dont know of any GOOD music making apps there are some fun things but there are just fun.The I pad being apple will probably be the best bet,as you said FL studio shoud be out soon on I pad (if its not already).Plus you can use it to control Ableton live with TOUCHable, and apple may bring out a lite version of Logic (Lo-gic lol)

you can controll ableton live? holy shit that sounds kinda cool :)

hmm maybe an ipad then. i just wonder if fl studio mobile is going to be flexible.

Post

Flexible? Like being able to do the splits?

Post

I never do splits, never got to see the use of having two instruments on one keyboard...you limit the range.

No flexible as in: can I import and export sounds, especially for the drumcomputer thingie :)

We got some tablets at our company, ipad, xoom, galaxy, the acer one, blackberry playbook and so on.

for making music ipad wins hands down.
Finally!

Post

yeah just figured that out by reading this forum a bit more.

Hmmm I was going for the galaxy for the camera but I am passionate about music so Ipad will probably win :)

Post

I think but maybe wrong so check yourself but most of the potable pads can 'control' your DAW on another computer using softwear LIKE Go To My PC because I forgot the name of the proper one lol.touchABLE is a propper app for Ableton live and is quite good im told. There is footage on youtube of people using it live in clubs etc. There is also footage of someone 'controlling FL Studio 10 on there ipad using the other softwear I mention (but forgot the name of) but claming its FL 10 on the ipad.Do some research but I think the ipad is the clear winner when it comes to just music.
