The demo crashes Reaper 3.76 on Windows 7 x64 but only on exit.
Great synth by the way
Then I guess it's best not to make C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\XILS-lab\Synthix the default installation path in the installer. Most users will just use this default and get this error then.xavier wrote:Hi,poonna wrote:That's also my case, too. The folder is writable. So the problem lies somewhere else, I think.Dv wrote:I have installed in the folder suggested by the installer : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\XILS-lab\Synthix![]()
Will try to uninstall and install somewhere else.
That one of the difficulties of windows 7. This folder is writeable, seems to be accessible by user, but this is not the case. This path doesn't really point to a real folder and seems to be an alias.
The better is to install somewhere like /document/public/XILS-lab/Synthix
Thanks for your answer Xavier.xavier wrote: Hi,

Thanks Mr Penguinpenguinfromdeep wrote:Ordered! Without demoingThat much I trust XILS LAB
Actually in the Guitar mode each layer can be assigned its own midi Channel.boombaxx wrote:Guitare getting it now the midi channel relates to 2 voices on the synth
Arrgh! I really hate if you can't select custom paths. I do prefer ALL settings, patches, manuals and necessary files to be copied into ONE folder of choice (e.g. D:\VST32\VSTi_Xils-Synthix). Within that, go nuts with subfolders and files.poonna wrote:Then I guess it's best not to make C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\XILS-lab\Synthix the default installation path in the installer...
fwiw, alchemy's 'random' lfo's continually generate real time random values tooLotuzia wrote:
Until now we have lived with rather sophisticated synths wich sometimes had Random as modulation source ( Like Massive or Alchemy ) Random is cool because it adds a static random value to any target parameter.
Say goodbye to static random.
The ChaoX LFO continuously generates in real time random values with smooth transitions : it's no more static.
Hi Bio I wasnt refering to Alchemy's Lfos in this case, but the random you can choose as a parameter attached to Note On ( That I used a lot in Alchemy btw as like I staed it random is ubercool ). So is there a pattern ( like an advanced S&h, or a more or less erratic/complicated pattern ) or is it real random generated on the fly by a math function ?biomechanoid wrote:fwiw, alchemy's 'random' lfo's continually generate real time random values tooLotuzia wrote:

Will hopefully be able to check the demo next week, looking forward to it.
i'm fairly sure that, like the LFO's, the alchemy note properties are also truly random, generated by a maths function.Lotuzia wrote:

yup, you can do that with alchemy too (any modulation can be variably smoothed)Anyway sorry if I made a mistake. On the SYnthix you also smooth the transitions in the random function, control the rate.
Yeah, now I just have to wait for the Elicenser code, too bad should've chosen Ilok in the beginning since I own bothLotuzia wrote: Thanks Mr Penguin( hope you'll like it !
