This is only for purchases through the Custom Shop. Most AmpliTube models can be purchased in existing AmpliTube titles such as AmpliTube Fender, Ampeg SVX, and AmpliTube 3. You do not need to be connected to the Internet to use models purchased from the Custom Shop. A momentary connection to "Restore My Gear" is required one time only to unlock Custom Shop models purchased to your User Account.

thanks hink & obik.
Yes and no. If you buy it on a laptop they purchases are now authorized on your IK account. As soon as your DAW gets on line and you click "restore my gear" it'll authorize and download any gear models you have purchased on your account. After that you no longer need to be online.memyselfandus wrote:to be clear for my slow brain. Can I buy it on my laptop and port the models over to my internet-less daw to use?ObiK wrote:After you have bought and downloaded a gear model you no longer need to be online for it to work. The only time you have to stay online is while demoing a gear model or browsing/purchasing new models.Dr.Gunjah wrote:Only for purchase/authorize or do I need an active internet connection for actually using it too ?ObiK wrote:You can authorize AmpliTube 3 fine, if you want to purchase additional gear in the custom shop you need to have an active internet connection.memyselfandus wrote:Do you still need a internet connection on the daw to authorize? or can you now authorize via other computer like before? I have a no internet pc with things set up in the bios blocking it also. no idea how I would change it back. was built by a pro company.

Anyone have Amplitube Standalone working with an Audio Kontrol 1? I've been trying to get standalone working. IK support seems to think it's my audio interface. But after telling me that, no suggestions on how to fix it.
Also does Amplitube always require you to run your DAW as administrator to run the VST on Win7 64? Is it just FL Studio? Anyway around this? IK Support's solution was, "run your DAW as administrator". But I don't always use guitar amps. So if I'm working on a project and I want to use Amplitube, I'd have to:
1) Save the project
2) Close my DAW
3) Restart my DAW as administrator
4) Open the project again
5) Insert Amplitube
I don't know of a single other VST that requires you to run your DAW as administrator. Makes Amplitube a PITA to use.

I know some argue against this, but I run with my UAC off. I never have any of the issues with administrator. You could always try it off, see if that helps and then decide later if you want to turn it back on

Since I have 3.5 Free installed already, would I be correct in saying that all I need to do is buy Amplitube 3 in order to have all of its models available? ie when I click Restore in the shop, it will see that I now own it without having to "re-install" anything? As soon as your DAW gets on line and you click "restore my gear" it'll authorize and download any gear models you have purchased on your account. After that you no longer need to be online
Further to that, can I just uninstall all my other 'Powered by' products now that they are all showing in AT3? In other words, no resident files are required for all of these models to function?
Thanks

Chester, that is correct. You could also simply authorize your AmpliTube 3 serial number on your system with the Authorization Manager. This method would use up an AmpliTube 3 authorization, though.

blueman, yes, we will be releasing more officially certified models before the month is up, and it will include the debut of one of our stategic partners!
I can't tell you who that strategic partner is just yet, but just hang tight, and you will See More soon!
