Hi,

I just came across this video and thought I might share it with you. It's a new spectral audio editor that works with layers similar to what photoshop does with images.

Thats pretty cool. I've been using iZotope's RX visual editor in a similar way but the tools in Spectral Layers look like they do stuff that I couldn't do in RX. I can imagine that multi-track daws may have spectral editors as part of each track in a few years.

Meh, just another STFT-based (linear frequency scale) spectrogram editor. If they come up with any good original ideas I'll probably steal them anyway, probably even before that program is released

Well from their videos it looks like it does some good things but nothing I'd want to imitate (mostly since they care about what I care about the less, isolation) and I've already had a solid layer system for a while and other Photoshop-like stuff. Seems more like competition for Izotope RX/Melodyne DNA/Adobe Audition/Prosoniq Sonicworx Isolate, cause they're the ones who makes it all about isolation and such I guess.

But they get coverage on Engadget and I didn't, why?!?

I suck at getting PR.
