By the way, the large gui size fits nicely on my macbook pro 15" high res display. I like that. The regular gui size is a bit small now with high res screens but that big one is nice and clear. There is also some very beautiful sound design in the factory patches. And it takes so little to transform patches into something totally different. That's what I love about it.

Got it! Finally:) It sounds a lot better than Imp 1 and the unison patches are fat!
Had a little problem with notes sticking and the chord patches wouldn't chord? But I have a feeling that's got something to do with Logics 32bit bridge:( So looking forward to a 64bit update. Things are generally pretty slow on the 64bit update front so it's not just G Force. Shame on you Apple... thank you IK
All in all it was worth the wait... The factory presets are great and I can see some sound designers coming up with some even greater patches in the future. There are some fantastic presets from Billy Curry... instant Ultravox. I saw them on their last tour and they were even better than in the 80's.

Nah, not needed, I'll just wait for September, or something. I'm in no rush, since I'm a PC guy.zerocrossing wrote:If you have a paypal account, just get a paypal debit card and use that to buy it. Easy.

Great.
Just got it.
I'm getting started on a new sound bank for it asap.
It seems I can't import the older version au presets into imp2 au though.
If I put them in impOSCar2 user (au) folder, they show up with messed up character names, and no audio when I click on them.
Import does work with the vst version, but I have my own saved as au.
Still...love the unison, and lots of presets. Amazingly good synth imo.
Much thanks to Jon, Dave, Chris, Ian and Urs
for this one.

The controller really is a thing a beauty! I wonder if Synth-Projects was involved in the production? They made imposcar controllers as well:

After watching this video of the first Touch Imposcar controller unboxing, you cant help but think how much it begs to have the vsti plug-in built right into the controller.
Then you could use it as a dedicated stand alone hardware synth similar to a virus, etc. A form-factor similar to stripped down V-machine built right in would do it.
If you designed and produced what is essentially a full featured, dedicated hardware version of an imposcar, why stop just short of joining the hardware with the software for a few hundred dollars more?

Have to say I was quite surprised at that, too. I'm slowly whittling away at the plugins I use that require Logic's 32-bit bridge, but there are a stubborn few remaining... Sounds like it's on the radar though.ttoz wrote:all i can say is how silly after all this development time and in this day and age a new plugin is released without a native 64 bit audio unit.

Obviously not - and they don't seem to be too happy about it:RandomWave wrote:The controller really is a thing a beauty! I wonder if Synth-Projects was involved in the production? They made imposcar controllers as well

The reaction is a bit weird though? On the very same page just below the news item with the morph it says "That's the reason why i build special Hardware Controllers. BUT It's only a hobby. I don't wanna make money with it !"Peter999 wrote:Obviously not - and they don't seem to be too happy about it:RandomWave wrote:The controller really is a thing a beauty! So, either he didn't want to do it or he wasn't able to switch from hobbyist to entrepreneur. It's one thing to make a one-off (as nice as it was) and quite another to produce a large quantity, market, sell and support them.
We'll see how it pans out for Touch. I took a chance and ordered one this afternoon, so I'll know soon enough what kind of a product it is. I just couldn't resist...
