Tool to analyse conflicting frequencies

Is there a plugin or audio editing software that allows me to compare two seperate tracks (say a bassline and a lead) and then for it to highlight only those frequencies present (and therefore conflicting) in both?
Now obviously I can do this with a spectrum analyser on both and compare by eye - this is my current approach. Just checking if such a tool exists really.

Wtf, i was thinking about this just yesterday night?!
I reckon you could use something like melda's autoeq. Or this tool by Elevayta,
which will tell you the free biggest wormholes.
I don't know if you are talking about to instances of an eq and comparing them side-by-side. If so, try using the spectrum overlay functionality in SPAN by voxengo or GlissEq by Voxengo. SPAN is free and there's demos for GlissEQ;

That looks perfect...loopdon wrote:Elevayta Space Boy
How would I send two tracks to it in Cubase though

Oh yeah I remember that. Not real-time unfortunately though.dalor wrote:Vogengo Gliss EQ: Multiple cross-track spectrum analyzer.

stillwell schope
you place it on one track and send from another track into the plug to compare (same way as you'd set up a sidechain input).

Easy when you know howmaxxxter wrote:It's automatic; put one instance on your "source track" and another on the "destination track" (the one you want to clean up). Then tweak the "humidity" (wet/dry).Mushy Mushy wrote:That looks perfect...loopdon wrote:Elevayta Space Boy

If I remember it correctly (haven't used it in a little while), you insert a receiving, Rx, instance of SpaceBoy on channel A, and a sending, Tx, instance on channel B. When the song is playing, the Tx plugin sends to the Rx plugin, and in the UI for the latter you do the settings to avoid masking between A and B, analyse frequency overlap, etc.Mushy Mushy wrote:That looks perfect...loopdon wrote:Elevayta Space Boy

It's an absolutely brilliant tool and can be used both to avoid masking when mixing and as a creative effect where e.g. a drum track can be used to make a pad move to the beat. I love it!
EDIT: I see others were quicker than me to answer. Anyway, now you know everything about it and don't even have to read the manual!

What do you mean "not real-time"?Mushy Mushy wrote:Oh yeah I remember that. Not real-time unfortunately though.dalor wrote:Vogengo Gliss EQ: Multiple cross-track spectrum analyzer.
It's an EQ on which you can view the frequency response of multiple tracks. All that in real-time of course.
