Who would have thunk. I decided to get GB as it was just too cheap for what it could do.
As great as all the instruments, percussion and effects are- the sampler is what I find the most enjoyable.
It is downright simple- and only includes a few features- but try this:
sample yourself whistling or Ahhh/Eeee/Ooooo 'ing- make sure it is nice and even
create a loop section that doesn't give you the pupming sound of a chipmunk when you hold the note.
now, turn on gliassando.
Play a cluster of 3 notes, and spread open your fingers- somethign you just can't do any any other controller. Polyphonic-theremin-esque don't you think. The more I played around, the more it amazed me as you just can't do this with any other instrument that I know of.
It's cool to do this with the different scales enabled- and even with the dual keyboard layout.
Have fun.
Garageband for iPad sampler- amazing!

GB is underrated, no doubt. At $5 it is a must have, just to play the magic guitar..... Great to play and record into a DAW....

Yup, the Sampler in GB is the most fun I've had with a sampling keyboard since my old Casio SK-1!
