Right-Sure, I see where you're going. Most of those you reference are specialized controllers targeted at specific Hardware synths.
That would of had to be the case if it was done first in the 80s! There were no vsts then.
Please stop the discussion here about the controllers ! I think it's enough, and it makes no sense right here !
Sorry mate, had no idea the situation was...well anyway. I do think we are free to discuss the Touch controller here as it directly relates to imposcar 2. That's not fair to take that position.

Wasn't it you who created the controversy to begin with by what you posted publicly on your own site? If you dont want your offerings or products associated with this discussion, thats fine. I'll respect that.

Likewise though, dont comment on it then publicly and can you please take down the public statements and video jab then (which I had no idea was up on your site when I brought this up). You cant publish information regarding your position on something publicly for all to see, read and form opinion, then expect no one to do the same.

Touch's actual quote in full context is:

"The impOSCar 2 Controller (IMP2C) is our first product and we are very proud of what we have been able to achieve with this instrument. We have a lot of new and innovative ideas that we fully intend to develop in the short to medium term and believe that our company will earn a reputation of being the best at what we do. This ethos is something we have always strived to achieve and now we can manufacture our own ideas into products then there will be no stopping us."

They dont say the imposcar controller was their own idea here exclusively, do they? I believe they are speaking in general terms of ideas and innovations that will going into product developement and what there company goal is.
O.k. last comment !

Right ! Feel free to discuss about the Controllers. I only say PLEASE stop it or start a new Thread.
I don't created any controversy on KVR. I've got many mails and answered on my page with that little vid.

I know the full context on TDC. But you don't know the background of all this. And you don't know the contest of the mail of TDC.

And then you can see it so or so.

Sorry to break off from the controller discussion, but does anyone know how to import sounds from imp1 to imp2?
I thought they were supposed to load in the newer version.
If I drag an imp1 au preset from the preset window in Live to the imp2 au unit, and drop.
It automatically switches to imposcar1.
I tried putting them in the folder with for imposcar1 au presets, but they show up in the browser with messed up characters, and clicking on them produces no sound.

I skimmed the manual yesterday and there is a section that covers this I think. Have to read up on it myself...

I understand the frustration you must be feeling if people associate you with the new controller or (weirdly) think that you have copied it. However, if you mean that we should not discuss the new controller or your controller then I think you are a bit out of line. I ordered one so I will discuss it in this very thread as it's the right place to do it. Also, people will likely compare it to yours and there's nothing wrong with that.

I hope you meant to ask that people refrain from speculating or discussing your dealings with GForce, which is fair. But then again, as has been mentioned you kicked it all off by commenting on it publicly.

Just a bit of friendly advice: You have/had a lot of respect due to your previous projects. Even if you felt you didn't receive credit, the wise thing would have been to keep a low profile and hopefully get other commissions from other companies. Public disputes are never good. I don't know about your situation so maybe I am out of line, so take it for what it is - a well-meaning bit of advice which has worked for me.

Now - has anyone had time to create some new music with imp2? I would love to hear it! :D

Just to note, in case someone else makes this mistake.
This import problem was all my fault.
The au presets, I was trying to import, had originally been saved using the au save function of Ableton Live, and not the save button within imposcar1 itself.
The ones saved using Live to save will not import correctly, which is understandable.
I just imported into imposcar1 those Live saved au presets, then used imp1's own save function, and they import into imp2 with no problem.

On a good note, I just got the coolest sounding Stevie bass sound going, just now with imposcar2.
Must put up an mp3 clip soon here.
It does some great funky stuff.

Question for others users (or Jon):

Does anyone know if it's possible to find presets by the author? I'd like to check out which presets are by Darren Price for example or the orbital guy etc. In his videos, Dave Spiers often had them by artist, but that may have been before the factory banks were assembled.

WTF? :?
Clearly we're from different planets, so I'll resign myself to merely salute you - nanu nanu!

I made the clip using V-Track from Artmatic.
This track only uses 16 presets out of 900 or so.
There is plenty of other stuff in there and since it is a synthesizer its super easy to roll your own.
I think there is a downloadable demo of imposcar so you can try it out yourself.

It's downloaded with the install.
Use the explorer search windows function.
Search impOSCar2 and it will be there somewhere.
If you happen to be on a mac, it's in this location path.
Mac HD/Library/Documentation/GForce/impOSCar2/
On windows check in your GForce folder within your vst plugin folder
...I'm not on Windows, but bet it's in there.

Some sounds I designed using impOSCar2.

This is at 320, so a little larger than normal.
Hope to have a large bank of sounds done by xmas for this.
