PRS had this perfect on their US models ever since the 80s, not sure about the SE models,
The slots should widen and gently slope down towards the headstock, leaving only a small, precise contact area where the string exits towards the fretboard.
Sorry for that description, one look would make it clear.
Locking tuners are a good idea, too, not least for convenience.
