Anyone know of an app that does notescoring or even just midi sequencing? I'm really not fussed, but I would prefer "traditional" notation. If not, a free (simple) DAW would be great as well. It'd be really great if I could use my new phone for music. I know MuseScore is opensource, maybe there's a java port?

I'm new to android and any phone which can do more than just calls, btw. By new, I mean I bought it just over an hour ago.

I think I'll bump this with results from a week of searching. So I found a few android apps capable of midi sequencing.

Budgerigar is the first, which is nice and exports into midi. That being said it's a bit fiddly and the demo version doesn't do much. Also, it's not a notescorer so it's not all that useful for my style. It's good if you're used to a piano roll.

I also found Maestro, which is free and seems pretty decent, but it doesn't do midi export (yet). That being said, it can only composer one line music, but it definitely has potential.

I also found an app called "Musical Note," which can do more than monophonic melodies, but I haven't found a way to delete notes (so your mistakes are permanent) and it doesn't even save, let alone export to midi.

Lastly, I found Guitar Partner. The interesting thing about this one is that it reminds me a lot like TuxGuitar, an open source program. Unfortunately, it's note input isn't very useable. It's hard to explain, but you essentially have to guess where you want your note.
