Under FX/System in the preset browser - there's a patch called 'You Do The Work'. I turned that into my default.mholloway wrote:is there really no way to just load a basic INIT patch in this thing????
Seems a seriously bizarre oversight in a synth with 60+ knobs...surely all you folks aren't just preset tweaking...how the heck do I get an INIT??

Incidentally, for those of you editing patches, just in case you didn't spot this in the manual.
If you like something you've done and think you may want to keep it, but don't want to interrupt your creative flow with opening a save dialog, choosing a folder, naming the patch... then CMD+Click the save button, that will save the patch in a snapshots folder with a filename which is made up of the date and time.
Then later you can go back, review these patches, and rename the ones you like and put them in the right place.
This feature was actually inspired by a video of Underworld with a controller (the original Super Mario one in fact), it's for when you're in full knob twiddling mode and someone suddenly goes... "That one".

Just installed the latest version, now I'm getting EXC_BAD_ACCESS/KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE errors. Can't start as standalone nor as AU.
EDIT: Never mind, figured out the uninstall. Reinstalled and working 100%.

I would be grateful if people would report any problems to GForce, even those they've circumvented, though please start those by saying something like "For your information" so that our blood pressure stays down.syclick wrote:Just installed the latest version, now I'm getting EXC_BAD_ACCESS/KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE errors. Information about your system is useful, if you look in the GForce/impOSCar2 application support folder you'll see a gforce imposcar2 profiler app, if you run that it will collect info about your system, and certain logs, all placed into a zip file in your user home folder. Attach that to any email
(If you're worried about what's in there, just open it up and take a look, it's all visible through the OS X system profiler).
Crash logs are very useful too, for now the profiler doesn't collect them, so you'll need to attach them seperately, but thinking about it I'll see if I can automate that.
In addition as much information about what steps led up to the problem, what happened and where, all help. It's very difficult to fix a problem that I can't reproduce, so ideally that's what I want to be able to do, failing that (maybe it's something very specific to your system) I need to be able to make an educated guess about what's happening, which requires information.
I'm sure all this seems fairly obvious to most of you (apart from the profiler app I wrote of course), but it's far from unknown to get an email that's something like "It crashed, when's this bug going to be fixed?" (well that's the polite version, some people get very abusive)
I'm glad to hear it's all working well now

That rather depends on when I can find my Pro Tools dongle, which is large, blue, and apparantly invisible.Ingonator wrote:Hello Jon,

Any ideas where I put it?
(I have the world's messiest desk, you can actually lose whole computers on here)
On a more serious note, it's looking good (at least Vst and Standalone seem to be working) but if I give an ETA I'm sure to jinx it.
(Edit: Found it, under a keyboard)
