I really do think it's the most elegant yet on a XILS synth. Maybe some colour coding is required to aid visual separation of the global and layer settings but considering the power and complexity of Synthix the tabbed approach makes a lot of sense to me.

On the downside I'm also no fan of the sequencer features of any XILS-Lab synth. They are held back by hardware sequencer metaphors, are a pain to program and are far too small to work with for extended periods. On the flip side, the modulation options offered by the sequencers are fantastic, it's just a pity the process of working with those features is akin to Nazi style tooth extraction!

Huge fan overall though.

Thanks Metrosonic,

We'll try to improve the sequencer workflow. As you mentioned it it has already some very musical and neverseen features.

Also I love the filters. I've been making lots of percussive stuff with just them and the Chaox, LFOs and Rhythm thingy.

What happens when you hit 300 - What will we get?

PS when's the full release(1.0) gonna be issued...? :)

Layer locking video? How's it coming on? :x :hihi:

Cheers, great synth btw - one of the best VST VA's yet... :D

Hi breakmixer,

Version 1.0 is plan to be released tomorrow (July 21th).

There won't be a lot of change with 0.9.5 version :
Chorus : The noise due to the BDD has been reduced when no signal is input.
LFO1&2 : a new "FADE" parameter.
Some English Typo on the GUI !

Are me over 300 ? yes !

By the way, a new track I just received from Paul Barrett. I'm happy to share it :

"I thought an 1980s type style would suit the sales of Synthix, for all those nostalgic guys out there. The track is pure unaltered Synthix; no EQ, no compression, and no FX were used. I only used multiband and tape emulated compression on the master output channel"

Thanks a lot Paul !

Best regards

Come on Xavier, spill the beans! What are the lovely gifts we're going to receive for hitting the magic 300 sales? Or are you still thinking that one up? :)

Well done for hitting your target anyway, more than deserved.

And to Metrosonic :

We're still thinking about the content of the gift.

The V 1.O will also include many additonal presets ( ie very probably 120 additional instruments )

I'll make the video tutorial once I'm back to Paris, ie at the end of the month. So they will probably come in August at best, or maybe in September.

The V 1.0 is on the way. It should not be to far away in time now :)

BTW : ONE DAY LEFT FOR THE GROUP BUY :)

And another thank you to all the people who supported us, and all the people who worked on the Synthix, including all Sound Designers Team, Beta Testers Team, Presets Testers Team, not forgetting Mr Paul Wiffen, Stephane Bonvallet, Luigi Felici, and our friend Boris from Croatia.

 Without all of you, the Synthix could NOT have been the same, or just maybe could not have been at all

Congrats on a successfull group-buy :)

A gift that would benefit Xils-Lab as much as the recipient could be a choice of xils 3 LE or the PolyKB player for those people who don't already own their fuller, bigger brothers. Get 'em hooked and then reel 'em in for an upgrade :)

For people who already own those, maybe some soundset ?

That's a little crass of me to make such suggestions though as I feel we've already done very well for ourselves.

Perhaps the greatest gift of all is knowing that we're supporting such a talented developer

Hi DubFox

Hmmm we're currently thinking about all that.

Thanks for the suggestions and your kind words. Decision soon

Else : LAST DAY for the Group Buy

I guess all best things must come to an end

If you're interested in the Synthix, I'd suggest you seriously think of the opportunity of getting it NOW :) You'll probably never get a better one !

Not for me.
I'm not that thrilled by most soft synths. I tried the PolyKB and didn't like it enough to buy it.
A free gift that is relevant to the product I have bought seems more appropriate to me.
Soundsets - presets etc are always useful I suppose.

While people are suggesting gift ideas, have my suggestion too! :)

I reckon vouchers that are redeemable against either sound-sets or player/le edition synths according to the customers preference. That covers every eventuality as even if the customer already owns the complete suite of XILS-Lab products they can redeem against forthcoming Synthix sound-sets. I understand there are lot's of minor variations in price across those options put they're all pretty similar really.

As someone who just tripped over this group buy and had never heard of XILS labs... I must deliver a warm congratulations on such a terrific sounding instrument.

Equal and maybe even beyond the offerings of GForce and FXP Synth Squad which is no easy feat. Very very impressed.

Taking delivery of Imposcar 2 and this beast in the same week is likely to retrigger yet another 80s renaissance.

So the next thing on my mind is perhaps... what's next?

Andromeda Andromeda Andromeda!!!

losan wrote:Hello there,

with the latest beta, is the "Kelvin Ford" issue  considered to be fixed ?
I think I've read that the version fixes some import/export bug - not sure, if
it relates to above issue.
(Wrong infos in the Preset Information window).

Still not working correctly on my system (Win Vista).
Also with Brick's bank most presets show up in the Init Categorie
(when sortet by bank > type), maybe related to this issue.

Cheers
Might I repeat my question - seems it got lost with some very long posts after it
- is this fixed in the upcoming version 1.0 ?

Thanks and Cheers
