SampleTank iOS is primarily aimed at turning your iOS device into a hardware sound module.
Using iRig MIDI, you'll be able to plug in a MIDI controller and play live. You should think of it more in these terms than as something that you would use as a plugin in an iOS DAW, at least for now.

...and we'll also update AmpliTube and VocaLive to allow guitarists and vocalists to use MIDI controllers with those apps too.
