Hello KVR!
I have a question here:
-I want to enjoy the Synthix Group Buy and already have Xils 3, PolyKB and the soundbanks. But at checkout, a don't see my extra 5% Xils Costumer discount.
Am I missing something?
I'll appreciate some light here...
Thanks in advance,
Cheers!

Paul Barett did it again, and I received this one :
"Once again, this track uses 17 patches from the excellent Synthix VSTi, without any EQ, FX, or compression being applied.
There is only multiband compression on the Master output channel.
Perhaps a bit too much in fact. Four of the Patches are my own, and I will attempt to get them onto the forum's patch library later.
Let's get busy on the patch library, everybody!" Paul Barett

Thanks a lot Paul !

Hi Losan, losan wrote:Might I repeat my question - seems it got lost with some very long posts after itlosan wrote:Hello there,
with the latest beta, is the "Kelvin Ford" issueconsidered to be fixed ?
I think I've read that the version fixes some import/export bug - not sure, if
it relates to above issue.
(Wrong infos in the Preset Information window).
Still not working correctly on my system (Win Vista).
Also with Brick's bank most presets show up in the Init Categorie
(when sortet by bank > type), maybe related to this issue.
Cheers
- is this fixed in the upcoming version 1.0 ?
Thanks and Cheers
I tested it a few days ago without finding any problem. I just double checked on windows 7, XP and OSX and didn't find anything weird.
Could you contact me on our contact web page ?
It will be easier for exchanging informations about this problem.
BTW: about the 1.0, I'm currently double check the factory bank and will upload it very very soon (I'm also checking the last bugs reports, to be sure I didn't forgot anything).
(A few hours more for the GB).
Best regards

i am looking forward to this.
I just finished doing a bunch of factory presets for the new Kontakt instrument/synth from Synth Magic (should be released very soon...) so now i could finally go back to my Synthix and do more presets for it, this time with the final version...
Best wishes,
Ingo

I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more softsynths this summer.
Damn you Xils-Lab and your incredibly warm sounding demos! - I got in at the last minute of the group buy.
If you'd like some more of my cash soon please make Synthix available for the Receptor with a reasonable crossgrade fee for owners! This synth needs to be played live as much as possible.

About Receptor :
I'm in touch with a developer at Muse Research as well two beta testers.
One got the Synthix running on Receptor and kindly wrote a installation guide (Paul Barrett who composed the two fabulous tracks (IMO) above) , the other unfortunately can't make it running.
So we are still working on this hopefuly with good results soon.
It will be free (the same iLok license will be used) for native synthix owners
Just drop a line (on our contact web page ) if you also want to test it !
And again, thanks to all of the subscribers !! This success and your kind words are a real pleasure after all this year, full of work (for me and also for the other members of the team).
Best regards
Xavier

I finished that track using Synthix which I posted the early clip of before - I think the highlight is the nice Synthix pad+lfo in the breakdown

Hi,
while programming some more sounds with Synthix i found that my first impression was right. This must be one of the most analog sounding softsynths ever. Especially the low end is very impressive as this is where most of the other softsynths fail.
In some cases i get the same great feeling as i got while playing the gigantic Schmidt Eightvoice analog synth at this years Musikmesse which is now my personal reference for real analog sound.
In fact the arrival of Synthix was the reason for me to get the rest of the Xils synths (+ soundbanks) and sell a bunch of my current softsynths.
BTW i don't really mind if Synthix sounds 100% close to the original but it sounds the way i like which is more important for me.
In terms of versatility this comes close to semi-modular or modular synths IMO, especially when the layers are used.
A short comparison:
In terms of sound and features Synthix seems to be a bit comparable to Dune IMO. The layer system of Synthix is very close to the "Differential Unison Engine" in Dune. In Dune you could program each of the Unison voices differently like in Synthix. One difference is that in Dune this kind of programming is "hidden" in the modulation matrix opposing to Synthix where this is done in the main GUI. In Dune there is also a limit in the available modulation slots so it would be difficult to program a bigger amount of totally different layers. Another thing is that programming layers/Unison voices in Dune is mostly done with "relative" values (e.g. envelopes) and not with absolute values like in the Synthix GUI.
One of the advantages of Dune is that it is less CPU intense so you could use a higher number of Unison voices and a higher polyphony but of course it's limited too.

I'm not sure what the point of the constant Dune references is but OK whatever floats your boat. (are you affiliated with the company in some way maybe?)
Synthix, It's a multi-timbral synth. Call it layers, or give it some fancy space-aged name like 'blahdee blah blah blah engine' , it's not an esoteric & mould-splitting new synthesis idea whatever way you call it. However the performance modes of Synthix to take advantage of that multi-timbrality are worthy of a bit of hype.
