Hmm strange, maybe you should try to reinstall it, or maybe some patches were forgottent in one of the installers ( wich is unlikely to be but well you never know )

To Metrosonic :

There are only 40 patches in the orignal Synthex library :-o .

The Factory Bank contains a lot of the interesting ones ( some others in the Synthex library are really cheap ). Not only did we cover some additional ones with Paul, but we also provide some versions wich were ONLY present in a very rare K7 bank, wich people like Jarre or Stevie Wonder especially liked.

Add to that that I also covered some other Synthex originals in the Factory content. The Laser Harp 3 and a few other patches are already replications of the Synthex original presets. ( People can guess the other ones if they wish :))

So a bit less than half of the original Synthex library are already there !

People have to understand that composersleike JMJ etc didnt use ALL the Synthex library, but only some fetish presets that they used and abused. Thanks to Paul we were able to target these particular presets, rather than the Synthex "flute" that people usually ignored or disliked.

The Gift will be a special soundset made Sound Designers commissioned by Xils-Lab and we still have to sort out and test the included presets.

This bank will ONLY be available for GB members, and is defintely usefull for all Synthix users, and will never be of ANY benefit for Xils-Lab, other than rewarding GB users.

I dont know of so many companies making such gifts to their followers.

It really annoys me to announce this in such a context, but well I probably should have done it before.

LtZ,

Thanks so much for the rapid reply. It's great to hear details on the group buy only sound-set but as you say it would have been preferable if this had been announced before the end of the group buy.

With regards to Synthex inspired sounds, it might be an idea to separate these out into an individual bank; to me personally it makes no difference but as we've seen before with both the PolyKB & XILS 3 some people purchase your synths because of their original inspirations and it might be useful for those customers to locate the sounds that will closely match their expectations. You in fact did this with the XILS 3 by including a bank called Putney Manual which contained sounds derived from the original VCS3 patch sheets.

Once again, congratulations on a wonderful instrument.

dosent matter if there are flutes or something.

the factory bank of elka synthex has to be inside of synthix and even more sounds from the past.

new dance sounds are crap for me all i need is the fact of real synthex sounds!

Then you'll never be served in a better way than with the Synthix :)

Else : Some are more interested by dance/IDM/electronic culture instruments, some are interested by classic vintage instruments, some are interested by neverheard instruments, some are interested by beyond Synthex instruments (ie ones who where available with the Synthex but with more expression ), some are interested by bread and butter instruments.

Obviously a good balanced factory library can't adress only one category of people.

So that you will find them all in the Synthix :)

I am using the full version (eLicenser) of v1.0 and counted 255 presets. Maybe there is something wrong with the demo installer.
Maybe you just forgot to scroll down in Lotuzias patches as those are almost 100 which don't fit on one page.

I think it would help to know which ones they are though - perhaps a custom tag or something or make them a separate bank (even with Factory bank and your name in the selections the list in the third column is too long and goes off the screen, to break it down further would be useful as scrolling is not very effective on XILs synth menus)

Some usability features needed:

Numerical entry (eg of keyboard range - it's a pain to have to scroll down every time to enter it)
Mousehweel support in menus and with knobs
Snap to zero positions with double click (in particular setting tune to 0 is difficult)

Are you speaking of the possibility to enter numerical value instead of turning know ?
Mousehweel support in menus and with knobs
It should work but depends on the host (but I must admit I didn't test this feature over a lot of host and system). I will check this.
Snap to zero positions with double click (in particular setting tune to 0 is difficult)
CTRL+click does this. Not exactly the zero position : goes to the init settings meaning the default settings use for creating a new preset, initialized with the "option->misc->init settings wit current settings"

BTW : the V1.0.0 is released, but this doesn't mean this is the end of the story. More the beginning indeed !

Best regards
Xavier

And with SHIFT + left mouse button you could do fine settings. The Keys are also shown at the "?" symbol at the upper right of the GUI.

No good - I dont have 3 hands - how can I hold shift or ctrl with one finger, mouse on the knob and press a key to hear what I'm doing all at once?

About time more devs do what Fabfilter and u-he do and make GUI controls for keyboard players that not require keyboard shortcuts.
