When I create a loop in AL there's a drop out or silence just before the loop begins. For example, when I play a continuous sound and start the looper it doesn't loop smoothly, a short bit of silence occurs before the loop starts. Hopefully I'm explaining this correctly and it makes sense.

Any help? Thanks!

What do you mean by "start the looper"?

Post

I'm using a MIDIBuddy foot pedal to record and start the loop. When the loop starts there is a slight bit of silence every time the loop repeats. Could this be the MIDIBuddy?

Thanks Os

So what function in AL are you using to 'start the loop'? Tap Rec?

Post

Yes, Tap Rec.

Post

Do you
- play your sound, hit Tap Rec, and hit Tap Rec again to start looping, or
- hit Tap Rec, start playing, and then hit Tap Rec again to start looping
?

Post

Usually I hit Tap Rec, start playing, and then hit Tap Rec again to start looping. The silence seems to occur at the end of the loop.

Post

Unless you start playing simultaneously with hitting Tap Rec for the first time, it will be recording silence into the loop until you start playing.

I think that seemed to have "fixed" the problem.

Thanks Os!
