but can someone please name the original Synthex presets, there's supposed to be just under 20 right ?
Not totally sure about this myself but i found the Synthex manual here and the list of presets is at the end:

http://www.synthesizer.at/download/manual_synthex.pdf

I'll try to check which Synthix presets are related myself. Of course it would be nice if Laurent could provide a list.

Very useful - just scanning through it now you can see how much the Synthix is based on it as well as the additions.

Yes but they should be set apart in some way so people can identify them - either with a unique tag or in a separate bank
Absolutely, at this stage I'd settle for simply knowing their names

Hope you'll like it : Only Synthix and random GB drums, no EQ, even no limiter on the master bus ( we could not find one :) :) :) )

So all comments welcomed ! Here it is :

Seems like they should have waited another year before going to K8.

Just listened! I don't know why but it reminds me of some 70s/early 80s italian horror/giallo soundtracks a'la Goblins, hehe :) Could imagine this in some sleazy scene in those movies from Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento etc. Sounds great! Love it! Very warm sounds from the Synthix. Maybe the balance of some sounds could be bit fine tuned but I don't think there's a lot wrong in the mix imho
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Hi Penguin,

Yeah great thanks for the report, so we can publish it now. Working on laptop type speakers is a very frightening experience :-o :-o

We made it on an early Garage Band version, and well .... hopefully i'll never use this thing again in my life. Nothing's quantised except the bass part but we did make some C/P. Esle Garage band reverb, no eq no comps, and not even a limiter.

So a bit 70's mood in the making of as well, just replacing the 4 tracks tape recorder with GB. And yes Paul definitely like the 70s and 80s era, even much more than myself !

Hi DubFox, you can see a brief post about this in the previous page of this thread.

I'll try to produce a more complete list, but tbh even me dont remember exactly what Synthex presets were done in an A/B spirit, wich ones were based on the Synthex but I decided to add some expressivity features, and wich ones were based on the Synthex but really revamped.

In any case if you want to make these presets (or every other one) closer to the Synthex spirit do the following :

1/ Cancel ALL modulations in ALL Layers Matrix Mods. Don't use velocity !as source
2/ Copy the first layer to all next layers (= All layers should be identical )
3/ Dont use different glide settings per layers.
4/ If you use the chorus please use the Synthex mode.
5/ Use ONLY Lfo1 and ONLY hardwired enveloppes.

Well I'd say this is a quick way to "Synthexize" any Synthix preset.

If you wanna use tags, search for the following tags "Vintage" or "Classic". this is the way I usually tag this kind of presets.

Hope this helps,

Yes, don't know how it happened. But it seems like they should have added Synthex's default Factory Bank to Synthix.
