Could you explain what they mean by layers? Or point me to an explanation on the website?

MIDI as as another paid program is harder for me to accept than the price itself.

That mid 90's look hasn't aged well. To my eyes it's really the areas that they attempted to pretty the program up that failed. Get rid of the gradients and textured background. I think atari programs look retro cool and if they had a splash of color and modern pixel resolution I don't think I'd mind using them.

They could market from the same standpoint as yamaha did with their MSP5s speakers ie it won't make your music look good, but it'll sound good.

I dunno.. maybe I'll try the demo latter. Too bad it isn't cross platform.

basically layers as I see it are takes per track...you can store 8 layers per track but play only one at the same time (or parts of 7 assembled on a 8th track). Like HD recorders like akai and roland did

Those ads are almost a decade old...I guess Bob never felt the need to refresh them for some reason.

It might be an idea to update the site a little don't you think?

If the thing is skinnable then I would imagine that to be something that should be shown...at some point.
