Although I'm a current Wusikstation user, I don't recall authorizing William to use my email address to solicit business for other companies. The email I received is clearly intended to be from another company, and NOT from Wusik:

Title: "Great MIDI Sequencer"
From: "Making Electronic Music"
Address: "youtube@beat707.com"

As a current subscriber to Make magazine, I first assumed this email was from them. Then, upon closer inspection and seeing that "youtube@" address, the entire message looked more like a trap than anything else. Seriously, what kind of legitimate entity other than the real YouTube would use an address like that to send out a mass mailing?

Oh, also, I've said it before and I'll say it again- I'm going to start a Whyterabbyt fan club. Seriously, dude, you must have crushed the opposition in your Speech & Debate class.

He sent an email yesterday to subscribers saying that future communication would come from the Facebook page instead of an email list. So, perhaps the saga (for some) has come to an end.

I'm a email list subscriber, and I get the Wusik emails. However, I never got the email that's the subject of this topic....so it really makes me think there was some sort of mixup.

At any rate, that's the update. I'm sure that it was a mistake and William didn't do it on purpose. Why would he? I imagine he hates these sort of topics *almost* (again, *almost*) as much as some of you hate getting the emails.

So, hopefully good news for some of you.

Well, that's a nice update for Wusik's signed-up customers. But there's no explanation as to how it happened, let alone an apology, for everyone else. Remember, not only did he deny it was happening, and delete a question asking about it in his own forum, but he was calling folk trolls for complaining about it... and now he's done what... ignored us?

Lets just remember that William has done this before, repeatedly, and every single time he has basically responded with 'oh its just a mistake, we're moving to a new system and it'll never happen again.' Which is essentially all he's done this time too.

Its not enough. Despite repeated promises to rectify things he has quite obviously never done so; its undeniable that he kept one or more databases that contains email addresses he claims to have removed.

At the end of the day, he has lied and lied and lied about removing our addresses and about ensuring it doesnt happen again, so no, it is not sufficient for me that he basically walks away from this without addressing that properly.

williamk of wusik is spamming again.
