Its okay little Pro Tools you were popular once, pat pat
 though whom be the other 2? Justin3am? and dgk...aka Dan? I know you guys are 1% club members even if you did not vote.

I gave Reaper 3 a run not so long ago as a thread started about how much of a mess it was and me was curious...I was rather impressed and got from tracking through to a mix down of a simplish track done with ease/not as tricky as i imagined. So its definately on the radar/I like many of its features. I am pretty familiar with Logic as the people i see/am friends with/work with sometimes are users and its got some good points also. One person i see every week is a die hard SONAR user and that is the one i struggle with more than others for some reason  X1 has made it abit more fathomable. He won't entertain Ableton Live nor Pro Tools  So no choice when we do stuff...anything i put in gets bounced/printed and imported or if its MIDI for usually drums then un-Toontrack mapped to XLN Audio AD mapped via EZplayer PRO (Stubborn twat). Actually Cubase is one i rarely come across and the last time i encountered the application it had about six different mixers, awkward bus/aux implementation/assiginment and no virtual instrument tracks (so an instrument had to be loaded and then the midi routed to an audio track...or something along those lines) and admittedly i was totally lost (maybe v3 or v4). This has no doubt changed

So im flexable/easy when i comes down to it but when i comes down to operating an application i ain't that familiar with then i fully admitt it and let the one whom knows what they are doing carry on and vice versa if it happens to be myself with my setup. Otherwise nothing would get done with any effiencency and that is no good. Its all about comfort zones and being diplomatic even between friends despite the ball busting banter :tu:

Actually i think this should be a representative statistic about the amount of users per daw rather than propagating anything... at least that's how i understood it.

It's just that there is this whole thing about reaper peeps that I just don't buy. I've had all those "other" daws too......but then again reaper didn't have what it took back then

My favorite BAW (Beat Audio Workstation) is FL Studio. If you use mostly synths and samples, this is the one to get (for PC).

My favorite DAW is Presonus Studio One artist. I don't use any of it's midi capabilities. I use it exclusively to record audio. I export it to wav and edit it afterwards in FL Studio. This DAW just clicked with me. I want to upgrade to the full version for the mastering capabilities, not for the VST support (although it would be nice if I could use my VST effects), but as far as using VSTi's, I am sticking with the FL studio workflow and tools.
Play it by ear

 indeed!

I don't vote in these threads. I don't have a preferred DAW. They all infuriate me, equally. :hihi:
I use Live and Pro Tools the most but I can move between most DAWs quite comfortably. I'm actually growing quite fond of Studio One recently.

Occasional use of Reaper and Record, but I'm happily back in Tracktion land in all it's unsupported, non-updated glory. It's a cozy place for me to jam and work out ideas, and that's really all I need.

I'm pretty happy with Studio One Pro. Can't wait to see what v2 brings later this year.
I use Sibelius on occasion, too.

I think anyone who voted propagates THEIR daw. There are a ton of reaper users here because it does almost everything, it's stable, it's cost effective, and it gets updated frequently*

But cubey or sonar or live or whatever users are going to stick by their DAW's too

So the whole "all reaper users are just fanboys" theory really bugs me

*There has been a bit of a stalling though while the reaps get 4 ready.
The only problem I have with a tiny minority of Reaper fans is that they seem to gather on the Ableton forums and pimp their DAW at every available opportunity, gets a bit troll-like at times. But you're right, I guess we just vote for what we use.
