Well...

Like a lot of you, I was tempted by the low prices, but also another reason. I actually read the Indy 3 pdf manual and thought that if it did all of what was in the manual this is some cool software.

Emailed YT, no response. Filled online form, no response.

I bought Indy 2.5 thru Amazon, because of the return policy. Judging from all of your problems, I'll probably send it back. This is why I hate copy protection -- if the company goes under, a lot of times you're screwed.

As for the cracked version, there isn't any.

Kind of sad when you try to do the right thing, but you need a cracked version in order to "activate" it and actually use the software!

:(

maybe this is helpful to some people :

I own the Independence Pro product and some extra libraries (summer 2010 fire sale deal).

Lately I tried to use some of the Indepence Pro samples on my harddisk with the free 'Engine Player' from the BEAT Magazine DVD.
It works. And I didn't have to register the 'Engine Player' anywhere.
(thinking about it, I can't remember if the Engine Player came with BEAT Magazine or with KEYS Magazine. One of them for sure.

I think this 'Engine Player' thing is developed by yellow tools and therefore can read the library files.

It might be that it works, because Independence Pro is also installed on my system, but I am not sure.
Some day I'll copy all the Library files to my Notebook and install the Engine Player there as well and see if it works.

Just a reminder: Discussion of cracks is a great way to get a thread locked. So don't.

I would not call this a "crack", as nothing was manipulated, and IIRC the sample library itself is copy protected.

Indeed this isnt a crack:) You can download Engine from your YT user account. I think Meffy was refering to something said a few posts up.

I also tried Engine, and it works, but I couldnt find any easy way to create legatos. So I went back to 2.5.4, which works well for me as long as I dont use keyswitched patches in combination with legato.

I can also report that Best Service just helped me out with resetting my activations to zero. (I lost many of my activations due to hardware trouble.)

You're talking about software crack here, right?

I'm not an idiot -- I wasn't advocating using a crack. I buy the software I use. I was simply responding to Lizardpoint who posted on April 10, 2011:

I'm so desperate to get something back from the €500 + I've thrown at Yellow tools, I'd even feel that I'd be legitimately entitled to run a cracked copy.

Funny how that wasn't commented on. Oh wait he's KVRer and I'm just KVRist.

I noticed that in the thread where the guy asks what KVR stands for, and the talk gets pretty XXX rated -- actually filthy -- and you are the mod there, nothing was said then, but then they were only being boys right.

I have sent Yellow Tools 4 emails on an issue - I get nothing back. Zero

These guys are ridiculous. Worst customer service I have ever experienced to date
with a Software provider.

Anyone have any ideas how to get these guys to respond??

Regards - Robert :x

Contact Best Service, YT's distributor, at support@bestservice.de
They should be able to help you somehow - they have provided me with the service YT hasn't.

Again,

YT has been bought by Magix, so in the meantime try BestService for support.

I have online filled in a support requests, e-mailed info, support, Christian, Lizenzen and had no rsponse.

It's very frustrating when you don't even get a respose to say we are looking at your request.

I have registered on there forum during the fire-sale. I didn't even get an e-mail confirmation regarding my account and access details.
I can't access there forum. It says my e-mail is registered. I then try to request a password (how many times)? I don't get an e-mail from them.

These guys can't be serious about bussiness and support. I'm about to send there software to the Recycle bin. This is what I hate about software making use of lisenses, wheather it is dongles or request authorization codes, IT SUCKS.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and oh boy am I going through the emotions to re-register most of these software and the biggest concern, what if these guys does not exist next year, then I'm stuffed.

With a Dongle, you can at least use it till it breaks one day.

YellowTools, funny enough says under my e-linceses I have 3 lisences. I installed it once and it says I can't reregister because I reached my limit of installations.

YES, they've got my money and support(i don't know for how long) from this side...................

Magix (maker of Sequoia, and samplitude) has takes over yellow tools, and support is so much better and faster, I have tried several times myself with the previous support. I contacted support using the support form and received a response within a couple of hours on the same day. I finally got Independence Pro working correctly but waiting for a response on how to get the instruments to show up in 3.0. For now I guess I will keep using 2.5 because everything is working correctly, even my vst's are able to be used in Independence.
