Recording audio from one app with anohter app on iPad?

There are some great noise-making apps on the iPad, but very few allow recording of the sound. Is there an app, like a wave recorder, that runs in the background and can record the sound from another app while you twiddle and play?

No, not that I know of but that could be a great idea if there was one.
