Ha. Don't blame that on ze Germans. Get something less crippled. I mean, don't we want to open up the Internet, not close it down. :)

I can see the problem people have with Flash but to me it's working perfectly fine. The sound/video/demo player is better than most.

I'm still waiting.
:x
I'm beginning to have doubts on the actual need for Flash.

cant access from DAW (no internet), cant access from iPad (no flash).
Didn't you know that the iPad is just an expensive front-end for the Apple app store?

I love flash and I love NI products but I hate the NI website.

Maybe its just the slow connection I have since my ISP was taken over by a major conglomerate :help: but I get real frustrated trying to get info from the NI site. So much so that if I want info about an NI product I'm interested in then I'll click on any Google result other than NI.

Likewise their Reaktor User Library is very tired and retro looking. A spruce up there could do wonders for Reaktor sales. Tons of amazing gizmos presented in car boot sale fashion.

I made these points in an NI questionnaire at least a year ago. :(

Is disco dead ? :)

NI likes using flash because it makes all of the glossy ad campaigns look really slick...

Not a pixel out of place in their presentations and the GUIs are just as spectacular...

But some of the recent "decisions" being made in that company have many of us scratching our heads in disbelief :(

IK's website is the worst thought... it's like the oldest website in existance... they should remake their website for iPad/iPod :)
Thanks for the suggestion... ;)

I'll take a wild guess and say that your comment hints that IK are in fact updating their website.

I also hate Flash sites.

One reason is that I'm an absolute "open link in new tab" browser-guy to be able to switch back quickly to the tab where I came from.
Most (if not all ?) flash sites don't let me do that, I get this stupid flash settings menu instead if I rightclick a link.

Oh and while I'm at it, I also hate embedded flash music players that don't have a volume control, because the volume control on my amp is broken currently. :tantrum:

Thanks for reading. :D

I think NI site is better then most of the crap out there. And their sound example player is pretty nice. Never had any problem with IE or Firefox

Btw i never used and "i" thing but why iPad doesn't support Flash? Is this true or did i understand it in the wrong way? I was under impression that iPad is some kind of tech device for browsing internet or at least capable of. Flash is old and very accepted standard. Did they intentionally crippled it out?

dude what ancient computer you have? What kind of alienated browser you use? I've never saw anything like it. I can open 50 flash websites and each have it's own tab. I can absolutely "open link in new tab" with flash website. Since i do this for living i can tell you immediately that if this is unsupported then it's developer (person who did website) flaw not Flash flaw. It is simple window state. Open in "_blank" and that's it. Almost same as in HTML language. Excuse me of course if i don't understand what are you claiming. Maybe i don't understand you.

Oh and while i am at it, embedded flash music player can have absolute control (level, whatever) - again it is up to developer not up to Flash. In case you didn't noticed NI player have volume control. It is quite obvious actually.

I'll bet they'll hit up HTML5/CSS3 soon, since their buddies from BeatPort are switching over.

Honestly i am shocked. I never heard of it until now. I was under impression that it's standard thing on Mac. I have a friend which develop flash websites on his Mac so i never not even for second think about something like iPad not supporting flash. Quite bizarre. If they are against it why bigger mac support it?

Flash is not something from yesterday and it is well known and pretty capable environment. I feel sorry for people who can't see Flash content via some supposedly high tech gadget.

I've read that html5 will obseletize Flash, hopefully soon. Lots of people have problems with Flash vids not working. There's no 64-bit version still either is there? How lame is that?
