also, not everyone relies so heavily on vst/vsti, and in such cases, the unlimited track count would be the "win" feature over most of the competition. people do post "created in artist" tracks every now and again, so it's working out for some (most likely the people that artist seems to be aimed at most directly).

i'm curious if/what they'll change with artist v2?

TBH I dont think that mojito, presence, distortion and a few other are even serviceable, and many freeware stuff is way better than those.

I really dont expect them to come with Alchemy or Omnisphere, but it should be better than the old Synth1 or Tal synths.

Anyway a big part or the market rely heavily one VSTi it is a part they arent addressing IMO.

Lets see what we get in v2, big hopes from my side. 8)

i really hope they will get more filter types in the autofilter, right now i only use if as a fx

i have started to really like mojito(also made some presets for it,thats available for DL)

love impact, but would like to see that evolve too

havent really used presence for anything yet

i really like the delay effects

and think the reverb is decent too

i really like it for a version 1 DAW,and i dont really mind that presonus take the time they need to get ver 2 right

AM deal is back, so just wanted to know, are the VST FX that come with S 1 A shared... as in can they be used with other hosts (Ie. I can use my cakewalk FX plugins that came with Sonar X1 Producer in FL and Reaper)?

I just wish they'd get on with "2" :D

GeorgeZ nope they're not shared, you can't use them outside S1.

I bought S1 Artist during NAMM deal, it complements perfectly areas where my #1 host Renoise lacks - timestretching (which is damn good in S1A) and aligning longer samples.

I agree that built-in instruments are rather weak. F/X is nice and definitely usable
