Hi Jo,

I am using a Nocturn controller here and noticed, that there is no softtakeover or similar in MuLab...

It is fine, that controller assignment is saved with e.g. MUX patches and restored, if a patch is loaded and as well the use of the Midi focus (with assignable shortcut) is excellent, but without any takeover mode it is not really usuable because of heavily parameter jumps...

Would a takeover mode be hard to do???

For really working with a midi controller, there would be another feature very helpful:

Assigned parameters sending CC messages if moved by mouse/preset change on screen...
This would avoid the need of using a takeover by switching presets of the same module, which is assigned to the same CC...

Thx

The soft take over is an interesting feature indeed. The latter FR is more specific as not all hardware controllers support the bidirectional way. The soft take over works whatever MIDI CC hardware you use, so that's the more interesting feature of both imho.

Yeah, the second feature is a little bit more advanced, but at least the softakeover is a must have, if you want to work with a midi controller properly in MuLab (because of the saving feature of the assignment)...

BTW, is there a way to assign the mixer chanels to different CCs, that you can work with them at once, without having to set each of them in focus (maybe by the general midi input assignment)??

Assign CCs for the mixer strips in the "Session Midi Controller Map".
I created an empty session with 8 racks and assigned CCs to each volume and pan. Then saved it as New.Session.
Whenever I start a new session, the assignments are done (at least for 8 channels plus master).
