I recently bought Antares Throat to be used with a very clean Windows 7 64 bit machine (DAW use only). This is my first iLok USB product, so I thought I'd write about the experience, as it would be representative of any new user doing the same thing.

1. Downloaded latest Antares Throat installer.
2. Went to iLok.com website to set up free account.
3. Went to Antares website to upload my license from Antares website to iLok website.
4. Installed Antares Throat, which installed iLok driver, reboot required. I powered off.
5. Installed brand new iLok 2 USB key. Turned on PC. Black screen. Required hard shutdown.
6. Turned on PC (booted fine), went to iLok.com. iLok website says I need iLok client software.
7. Installed iLok client software, required reboot.
8. Went to iLok website to transfer my Antares license to iLok USB key.
9. Ran Sonar 64 bit. Bootup dialog says I need newer Interlok drivers.
10. Went to iLok website and downloaded latest driver. Installed it. Required reboot.
11. Ran Sonar. Antares plugin did not appear in plugin list.
12. Reset all VST plugin entries and rescanned. Restarted Sonar.
13. Antares plugin appeared in plugin list. Antares software ran properly.
