This Is Serious Mum.

(IIRC iPD is basically a combination out of PD with Phase Modulation, Ringmodulation and Amplitude Modulation, so we can safely say that a modular PD/PM/FM synth does iPD)

:D
Any news, please ?

OK. Thank you !

Well, there's still a free SynC Modular ensemble with the eight point envelopes that works pretty fine... just test it!

... in fact, I've got an VZ1 and it sounds really weird.

Here is a video of how the VZ1 sounds, I am impresed. No vst emulation?

I find it quite unique.

Zebra is not an emulation, but it does have the PD oscFX which gets that Casio sound. You could come very close emulating many of those sounds...

try novaflash's uniwave for some of its sounds.

i'm glad this thread got bumped. i didn't know about the synth. it sounds better than the cz to me. here are 147 vz1 rom card one shots. you might find something you can use http://www.cyborgstudio.com/vz1.html

I had a VZ10M for a while, but never really warmed up to it. I still have a CZ-101, which was well worth the $10 I paid for it.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

We need and improved VZ1 in vst form, any brave developer?

Post

It seems there's no emulation available...

Maybe someone is interested. An adding more features, but I really like how this synth sounds. Maybe Audio Damage could be interested?

Hi all,

VZ-8M is here beside me, it was my first rack synth, I haven't sell it yet because it took too much time to learn it in the days,
and I wanna remember that, <wink>.
So like others here I know very well its sound and how it works...,
building a VST emulation is not an easy job or light task, and I guess a dev like me could do that only if there is enough potential buyers out there. Possibly not enough to justify such huge work, the point is that casio vz synths are not famous at all. Moreover you can do very similar sounds with other currently available synth plugins
And there's no request that I know on the music scene for specific vz sounds.

(unless you could do a pre-order request, <wink>, like a commissioned job)

There are some developers who take risks ;-)

Yes,

all the good ones.

This is a very risky industry, and there are far more secure ways to make a living, probably a better living.
