Cubase 6 - RMV x64 can't find library?

Please tell me there's a simple registry edit that I can make to point the x64 version of RMV to the sample/loop library? x86 version of the plugin see's it fine... I've tried reinstalling both plugin and libraries to no avail. Is it so hard to make RMV ask for location of library on startup? This is a mess.. and I remember having the same problem with v RMV 5.0 on cubase 5.5, and actually fixed it somehow, but don't remember how anymore.. help?

Latest RMV and cubase 6, fresh win7 install - all x64

EDIT: all good.. tried reinstalling everything again and it works now.

I have the very same problem here with REAPER and RMV in Windows 7 sp1 x64, REAPER and RMV x64:

RMV does not find the library, because the root library location path is seen as empty (only the second "relative" path part is visible in the setup panel).

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, all the same: RMV x86 works with no problems, RMV x64 gives errors complaining that the library various parts cannot be found.

Already executing REAPER as administrator, problem is in both REAPER x86 and x64.

Any hint on how to solve (is it maybe about installation sequence between Loop Library, Drum Library and plugin)?

Thank you,
Mario

Anyone around?

It really seems RMV x64 is not able (in REAPER x86 AND x64 on Win 7 x64) to get correct data path from the host.

I have customized the data path, but done it during install - no tampering done...

Thank you,
Mario

Update: Hermann Seib's VstHost (x64 version) does exactly the same thing.

I'd say this definitely rules out a REAPER problem. I cannot believe I'm the only one having problems loading RMV x64 in an x64 Host on an x64 Windows OS.

EDIT: a further question -> should I maybe re-download the libraries too because they've been updated for x64 (even though the version number hasn't changed for them)?

Thanks,
Mario

Ok, I kinda solved, by comparing what happens with RMV demo, which works perfectly in REAPER x64: the full library (loop and pads) installer fail to create a registry key in Windows 7 x64, even if run as administrator:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Linplug\RMVData = "<Myinstalled library path>"

Adding manually this key after library install, the plugin is able to find the library.

Something to fix (or already silently fixed) in library installers?

Thank you (but what a s.l.o.w. support guys :(),

For a quick support, mail the support ;-) But about the issue, it seems to always happen when yo run both 32 and 64 bit bit version alongside. Thanks for the hint with the installer, i could not reproduce this problem, but its good to know that this can fail.

Thanks for the answer, but please consider that your website recommends this forum as quickest and preferred way to get support... ;)

Same problem here Peter, but i don't have 32 & 64 bits here only 64 bits on my machine (windows 7, cubase 6).

¿How can i change the registry in the way it has been said in this forum?.

You can change the registry using regedit (come with Windows). However, I'm not sure that its required...I mean before you fiddle in the registry, maybe explain your problem a bit more in depth

Thanks Peter:

I solved the problem reinstalling all RMV(plugin+library). (Reinstalling only the problem didn't solve the problem).
