converting .exe files to OSX

Hi everyone,

I sent a winRAR zipped file of demo tracks to a producer who uses a Mac. He e-mailed me that the .exe won't run, to decompress the files. Also, the tracks themselves are .exe files, which won't run on a Mac either, I guess.??

Suggestions please ???

What format are the files in to begin with.Try YEMUZIP its free as in cheap
and makes PC compatible files

Why would the tracks be .exe files? Surely you would have sent .wav, .mp3, .ogg, .flac or some similar audio format

so each track is a self extracting zipp all rared in a self extracting rar?

I think zip functionality/support is built into OSX these days.

From a Windows XP machine, select a folder you want to send, right-click on it, select Send To->Compressed (zipped) Folder

Create a standalone .zip archive instead of a self-extracting archive.
