heh, yeah, that's not how it sounded when I played it. ;)

Edit: I hate it when amp demo clips/videos contain anything more than a boost/overdrive pedal (possibly a noise suppressor if its high-gain). Reverb is the bane of all the shitty amp demos: Just because the amp has it doesn't mean you have to cake everything with the shit :x /Rant over, Always gets my goat!

I know what you mean...I keep thinking about doing a youtube demo of the Eminence speakers ...in my steel driveshed...want reverb..we can haz reverb!!!

Two more in a full band setting :

That's what I meant about Grissom, Eric, he's one of those players who always sound like themselves, no matter what gear they play - I've heard him with various Marshalls, 800 or earlier, an 18 watt Marshall, Vox, Matchless, Bad Cat and now PRS ... always his typical signature tone.
And he doesn't rely on pedals too much, either - mainly for adding variety and a tiny bit of lead boost.
In his case it's all in the fingers, in my case it's all in vain. :P

No problem, we come from a different musical background.
I don't particularly like the singer or the song either, but the band work suits me perfectly.
Hey, Levin and Mastelotto in a country rock setting, I couldn't believe it.

But I know something you don't :D , bought a new solder station today.
You'll have mail next week. 8)

A page of some susi pedals but not demonstrated that well tbh:

Barry it seriously infuriates me  To the point that i just plain rip out the built-in shit (only exceptions are my Vox AD100VT head which is a digital/valve/solid-state hybrid and the DSP section is not removable and more recently the Fender HotRod Deluxe III 1x12 combo as the reverb works alright with that amp but that is all...Everything else has been removed where possible)

Looking forwards to more feedback (sic) on those Eminence speakers my friend

All the best to all

Dean

Thanks for the clip.
The LGW is an improved TS 808 at heart, no bass loss and less of these "unique" upper mids, good pedal but nothing special imho.
I much prefer the Sweet Honey, or, even better the original, the BJFE Horny Bee  , that's mine, it says Honey Bee on the BJFE. :hihi:
The Klon is in a different league imho, and I prefer it in front of a crunchy Marshall or Soldano, nobody can show that better than Warren Haynes :

Note how many nuances he gets out of that simple setup ...

Yeah Haynes is a beast, No question mate :D
Eric, I had chance to give one of these a try with my digitech CM-2 (TS-808/9 apping box and NS-2 with my usual guitar) and it is cheaper than an Orange TT and DT. It gets that into that sort of modded plexi/800-like area, Well it did for me so it might be worth a try or re-try if you have tried the combo version as the head into your own cab of choice makes alot of difference:

Could probably find a better video but its enough to give you an idea, They feel good also if you know what i mean mate but as always YMMV and they get nowhere near the Dark Terror in terms of gain

Hi Dean, thanks for the video on the Marshall...I run across those all the time. Without a doubt my next amp is going to be modding my boogie if I like the results it will be interesting as to where I go from there...perhaps Jet City ;)

The Class 5 with the TS sounds really good ! :tu:
