I'm sorry but the second track I was working on is... ugly :shrug:
So I dropped it, as it would have been a shame to poison such a brilliant collection of tracks with that horrible crap!!!

Please accept my humble apologies :smack:

I did not realise the demo of the previous version was available at the start of the OSC challenge. My bad, then, for not joining early enough :(
Oh well... There's always next month!

satYatunes - Welcome z3ta

Host:
Sonar X1c
10 instances of Cakewalk Z3ta+

Free External Effects:
AriesVerb
PanCake
ADT
Loudmax

Notes:
Track composed in 24 hours and all those hours spans after dinner to wee hours :-D. Sonar crashed a few times but the Freeze/Unfreeze feature is amazing. One button does it all but it crashed a few times while freezing/unfreezing a couple of tracks.

z3ta, at the first look it seems like it's made for trance but it certainly can create sounds for other genres. There are loads of presets available in KVR and patcharena to start with, not a very difficult synth to program also. The built-in effects in z3ta are alright but not great.

@Bzur
Mine is ugly too, don't worry if is ugly or not mate. I recommended more tracks (even is they are ugly or not) to get a good cypher of tracks, which means more prizes to get. That's all :)
But don't worry, in the another hand i can understand you, so you don't need to apologize really.

Have a good day.

OK, edited with info:

Kx.001 - Reticulous:

FL Studio.
12 instances of Zeta 1.5
3 instances of Fruity Parametric EQ 2
Lots of internal effects from Zeta

Then normalised and compressed into MP3 in Audacity.
Hi KX, thanks for share your track and welcome to OSC contests.
But, could you use the built-in EQ in FL Studio?

(Instead the parametric one) and reupload the track again?
I know all this is a hassle, but we should be sticked to the rules.
I hope you can do it in time, KX.
Also you seems very busy without too many time, in case you can't do it in time, V'ger will have the last word.

Have a good day.

@Satya
Finally you made the track. Cheers.
Now, my vote list will be even more difficult to narrow...

Have a good day.

Sorry I'm child minding so can't be in the 'studio' - I didn't realise it was that specific, I thought it just meant the bundled effects with the host. If not, I'll have to be out.

yeah, finally. Your encouragement worked. Thank you. We have some great tracks, I guess everyone will have difficulties narrowing down but I'm glad that we have two weeks for voting :-)

Is ReaComp (compressor included with Reaper) considered a free plugin that can be used in OSC? I think I saw it listed in one of the other entries and I thought that although Reaper is not free, its plug-in suite is? Anyway after comparing my humble entry yet to be submitted, I realized it could use a little volume boost to match the others on Soundcloud.
thanks,
Dan

Sorry I am new to all this, but where do I vote tomorrow?

Will there be a new thread for that, or how does that all work? :?

Post

@ Dan_10E: As far as I know ReaComp is available as free download and so it's allowed to use here.

@ Examigan: There will be a new voting thread after submissions are closed.

Cheers,

@Kx.001
Well, as i said, wait for V'ger, he will have the last word for you.

@Satya
You are welcome.

@Dan_E10
You can use Reaper plugings even if you are in another daw, because they are free and they can be used as VSTs too. So don't worry.

@Examigan
Tomorrow i will create a vote thread. I will close the submissions here, so people can't submit more tracks (but this thread will be still opened) and i will put a link here to the 'vote for tracks' thread. So don't worry, you will know it.

I must go, see you all later.

Oh wait, I get what you mean ;) Thanking you.

One way or the other, I enjoyed making the track - it's the only one I've finished for a while too :D

Yeah I guess the wrong host EQ can't be direct cause for disqualification as it's not too easy to get the difference between native and not native and it's not really gaining that much advantage either. If you had time you would have changed it anyway, so it's not like disregarding the rules per se, so you'll just have to take your chances in the vote kx.001.. ;)

Yes, even the JS series are free and available to all, I think the only thing that's in Reaper but not available is Reaverb.
