I have to agree especially at the price point of $79 list. I guess the "pattern" feature is an outgrowth of the Arranger tracks in Cubase. Don't think it will give Live a run for it's money but may be the harbinger of things to come for Cubase in the next version.

I suppose Boscoe will be dumping GarageBand now to become a Sequel fanboi!

Nothing against Sequel! Seems to be really nice! I just don't like these *buy this and you'll become an überpro* marketing phrases

Yeah, but with out marketing hype in audio they would have to tell the truth and then none of us would buy anything

I've never used Sequel before so I decided to finally check it out and I'm having some fun with it at the moment. The VST support is limited to VST3 plugins so the only third-party plugin from my arsenal I can use is Vienna Ensemble (non-Pro, so I can only use my VSL libraries). With a more limited palette, I find myself wanting to see what kind of tunes I can make with this.
