Hi guys,
Are there any way to set up second USB qwerty keyboard to work like MIDI device on MAC OS? I'm using Ableton. The 'key mode' with CAPS LOCK this is not good way, I need MIDI. Thanks..

I think if you have two keyboards connected, then pressing capslock on one will lead to keypresses on the other being in caps as well. The capslock state is maintained in the computer, not in the keyboard.
But having said that, I don't fully understand your question: what you're trying to accomplish. But if you want midi, then why not get a midi controller instead of a qwerty keyboard? Eg the Korg Nano range is dead cheap.

Not nearly as cheap as a regular qwerty keyboard. And it also doesn't have as many buttons in a small space.BertKoor wrote:But if you want midi, then why not get a midi controller instead of a qwerty keyboard? Eg the Korg Nano range is dead cheap.
On a somewhat related note, I was also once surprised that there's no easy way to make Windows treat a second input device (keyboard or something else) as a separate unit and assign it to a specific program or task. This would be useful, for example, to use the PC as a HTPC with the TV, while someone else is using it for other stuff on a separate screen. But sadly, all common input devices get mixed together and you need some specific hardware (specific remote controllers) to make this work.

I have another question. Is it possible to assign second keyboard to specific(inactive) window on MAC? And then I can use Midikeys with first keyboard, Ableton with second (because key map mode working only on active window, Midikeys also..)
