* Allow x64 and x86 versions to be installed simultaneously.
* Fix issue when plugins tried to resize their window (e.g Absynth)
* Save VST path before scanning (so that a plugin crash doesn't lose the path)
* Fixed issue with potential database corruption

I'm greatly looking forward to 'Add option for smooth preset changes'
Something that would be great to see in a future update would be a batch export to mp3 option.
This would run a test midi file that was specifically designed for testing so that:
The first portion would be composed to show off the character of the sound as quickly as possible (rapid notes and chords in wide registers). The back half of the demo midi could show off more specific features like testing legato transitions, long pedal tones, and permutations of the 8 controllers.
This way we could batch export 10,000 mp3's overnight to our mp3players, rapidly browse through them and then rate them with stars while riding the bus, or walking along the beach at sunset.
If it was really fancy it could import the itunes library directly in the same way the Last.fm does so that all of the changes could be automatically incorporated into the zen database.

Nice idea - would be a boon to sound designers. Does any host do this currently?CaseyJames wrote:I'm greatly looking forward to 'Add option for smooth preset changes'

Not that I know of.
Zen is so impeccably perfect for it.
Long walks on the beach = zen

If you use Zen standalone, it can save everything it plays to a .wav file. Not exactly what you want, I know.
Exporting mp3's based on a midi file would be nice, yes. I just don't feel like writing a midi file reader, so maybe it should be done differently.

The midi part isn't key at all. If its possible to make a test composition a a text list or just an array (on your end) that fulfills the same purpose with less hassle it wouldn't matter to me.
The wav recording feature on the other hand would not be useful for this purpose. Listening and rating to 10,000 mp3 is an act of devotion... manually recording 10,000 mp3 just to listen to them would be utter insanity.

Is there a way to use Zen with a HTTP proxy?

Moss, not at the moment, but I can build a version with proxy support for you to test.moss wrote:Is there a way to use Zen with a HTTP proxy?

Yes, I could test. The best thing would be to take the settings from the OS, so that there is no need to specifically configure Zen.Big Tick wrote:Moss, not at the moment, but I can build a version with proxy support for you to test.moss wrote:Is there a way to use Zen with a HTTP proxy?

Today I opened up Zen and the entire database was gone. It gave me the welcome to Zen screen and lists no plugins.
Any idea whats going on?
EDIT:
I see the x86 version still has the database that was previously set up for the x64 version. Is there anyway load the database that is wrongly attached to the x86 version into the x64 version?

The x86 database is located in the Zen/ folder under your Documents&Settings.
The x64 one is in the Zen64 folder.
Maybe your database got corrupted ? This could happen if you turn the computer off (e.g, pull the plug) while Zen is still running. Do you want to send me your zendb file and I'll have a look ?
