I'm looking for a great jazz brass section for some songs. It will be a new orleans type sound and I have no interest in orchestral brass. Can anyone recommend the best one out there??

thanks!

Don't know about the "best", but I'm quite happy with the Garritan Jazz and Big Band (JABB). Great value for money, and to get better quality, you're going to have to pay up quite a bit.

WarpIV. He has a jazz clarinet that's really useful btw.

well I was hoping for something close to symphobia, that requires the least amount of teweaking or having to build the entire brass section. I'm real happy with it mainly due to the high quality sound in addition to ease of use

Chris Hein - Horns has many options.

Many different sections as well as solo instruments
to combine your own combination of sections.
Ready to play out of the box, but with a lot of options
to customize the sound and playability to your needs.
Also, all instruments follow exactly the same concept
concerning programming, articulations, etc.
Learn one instrument and you know them all.
Its even possible to duplicate a midi track and play it with another instrument.

CHH also blends pretty well with Symphobia.
I use this combination often to spice up my orchestral tracks
or to fatten a pop-brass section.
CHH instruments have a much harder and tighter attack,
while Symphobia provides the bigness and room.

Cinebrass

It's not really geared towards Jazz but you did mention the Symphobia ready rolled way of doing things!
