Thanks for the very detailed explanation, im sure other's will have good help from it as well. The kick i made sounds great!

Since i have a nasty case of tinnitus where im very sensitive to bass sounds (and fast transients) i wont be able to mix the low frequencies.
Wait for Urs or someone who tell you more about add more points, at the moment, i don't know neither.

And i have tinnitus too, by the way.
But a very high and continuous frecuency in my head since i'm aware of life. No problem really. I'm acustomed to it. I always thought this was because i was more sensitive to high frecuencies and i thought that i could listen more frecuencies than normal people. It was the past year when i was aware of this sickness.

Mostly in the night when is a bit hassle.
The worst is when you put stoppers plugs on ears for sleep, and the sound continues there lol.

Have a good day :)

It should take about 30 seconds to answer any such question yourself: RTFM!

Reading manuals? That's crazy talk.. :hihi:
jeye_musik wrote:[I thought that would be the situation. I had a play about with Shortcircuit last night and it's pretty simple to use for that very purpose. Surely it would be OK to adjust the pan and volume of the samples within it so that mixing the drum track doesn't mean having lots of instances of Shortcircuit? Your thoughts on that appreciated.
Yes that should be ok but you could of course use the 16 outputs as well.

Good thinking. I might explore that when I closer to mixing the song properly.

I also seem to have figured out the issue I was mentioning before. It happens if I tweak the parameters of an instance of Zebralette while I have several clips looping in Live. I can get the sound back to normal by stopping the transport. And then stopping the individual clips. Then, when I select a track to trigger with my midi controller it works fine.

Really enjoying exploring the synth so far. I've been enjoying making slightly skewed sine wave variations... sort of Raster Noton-ish. I suspect this could end up being quite an obtuse song.

Does anyone know the automation 'labels' for the FX1 and FX2 types? I couldn't suss those 2 out.

This synth is amazing. There are going to be a lot of really good tracks this month.

SFX1 and SFX2 i can see here in FL Studio.

Oh, wait, are you meaning to change between different FX in an automation?
I think this is not possible, but i'm not sure at all.

Have a good day :)

Indeed... to change between the 'type' of effect... thanks for looking, anyway.

3 musics:
- Microns (8 synths + 1 Crusher for master channel),
- Shivers (10 synths + 1 Crusher and EQ8 for kick and 1 Crusher for master ch)
- Pasadena (5 synths + 1 Crusher for master ch)

host: Ableton Live
fx: Camel Crusher, Ableton Live EQ 8

kick for Shivers is made from 2 layers: 1 sub and 1 click sound

I've uploaded a draft version of drunkZebra (I'll post the final version asap), made with Cubase Studio 4 and about 15 Zebralette instances. Tal Dub II and Tal Reverb II on sends, Melda DC blocker, Ferric TDs and TLs Maximizer on master bus.
Thanks to Irion and Urs for the precious percussion presets :hail: :tu:
Hope you like it :)

How about the "Resolution" knob in the 'Waveform' section; is there an automation tag/label for that?

TIA

There's an automation tag called 'Trsp' which apparently means 'transpose,' but the corresponding control for it isn't apparent in the interface.

@Bzur
You are welcome, Bzur ;)
You are the first this month, good luck :)

@mrblitz000
No automation for resolution knob. Since is something in relation with the engine, to "oversample" the oscillator, automation changes in this knob would make crazy your CPU, i can guess. So it's normal no automation for this one.

About the TRSP label, maybe it was for an old Midi control in the beta, and they dropped it in oblivion when release the final version.
Here does nothing neither.

Have a good day :)

the use of Trsp was definitely changing one of my patches.... so, maybe Trsp depends on the other control(s). Or, maybe it has an effect in some hosts, but not others. But yeah, Trsp was in full effect there when i tested it.

Another OSC with a U-He synth that (of course) us AU compatible. Gotta find the time to get back in!

Missed the last few but hope to listen to all the tracks soon.

Tinnitus - I've had it my whole life also. Don't notice it unless I'm thinking about it. But I've thought of having my hearing checked - wondering how my hearing is, as making music with bad hearing is like being a color-blind painter. That's why I A/B my mixes with commercial productions often. I've often wondered if the tinnitus causes a notch somewhere, or if I'm losing high-frequencies. Spectrum analyzers being invaluable of course, also.

Good luck to all!

is there a free-ware chainer type bit of software - I'm presuming that using hte one built in to FL studio would be a no-no (I also have the ddmf one which is payware too) to make combining two a bit simpler?
