As some of you have seen, I had 2 sample packs that were available only for a limited time at the end of 2009. Some people requested that I bundle them and release them as a commercial pack. So here it is: the Memory Collection pack 01!

The samples in this collection are taken from Public Domain movies, TV shows and TV ads. I chose the name Memory Collection because by definition works in the Public Domain are from the past, a past often not very distant but sadly also often forgotten or ignored.

The samples include voice/spoken word/dialogs, sfx/foley, music and other stuff. Many of them can be further divided so you can have some fum yourself. :hihi:

The MC pack 01 is in 2 parts:
- the Free Pack (88 samples, 27.3 MB) and Mini MC1 that can be downloaded from the page below.

- the MC Pack 01 (287 samples, 157 MB) that can be purchased with a donation (minimum $3.33 US).

It's all Borax

The collection is featured in the What's New section of the February 2010 EM Cast (Electronic Musician magazine's podcast). Here are 2 excerpts from it:
- interesting fun to play with collection
- just going through the library will make you laugh

The part about the Memory Collection starts about 27:50 into the podcast and there's an audio example made by Len Sasso.

I would like to precise and/or remind everyone that the complete list of the samples included in the pack is available from the webpage and it's also in the free download.

Each sample is listed with its type (music, sfx or speech), size and lenght in seconds. The names are descriptive, for instance, in the case of the speech samples, they list the words actually said (or most of them for the longer samples).

I'm posting below some comments made about the Memory Collection on the Samples forum.

D.H. Miltz posted a track in the Music Cafe featuring some processed samples from the collection. Listen to it here:

Interesting collection... Reminds me of the sort of samples Luke Vibert uses. I made a donation, I could use some random sounds to use for texture.

Hi Sendy,

Thanks for your comment and your support!
I'm currently working on the vol. 2 and it will have at least 3 to 4 times more samples.
