Works fine on stand alone ( and sounds  )

But the VST DLL hasn't installed.

Tried the install again and clicked the refresh buttons but still no DLL :(
it defaults to an unusual place for me.

for instance my vst as used by Nuendo supposed to be in Programs (32)\steinberg\vst

but it puts it in programs 32\vst so I had to move them over.

You've probably realized this, but you can get it to put the VST anywhere you like, or indeed use the installer to move it from one location to another.

The way it should work is that it looks in various registry locations and folders to see where hosts have their VST folders, and adds them to the dropdown list for the VST folders selection.

However this is a bit of a moving target, some hosts seem to keep changing where they store that information.

Do a google "GForce-impOSCar" search, and try one of those links.
Maybe that'll work.
No luck-every link to GForce-impOSCar andGForce-impOSCar2 got the same error message. What did they do to that damn page????
Error message, or that page which talks about the DNS Update?

No, all I get is this message:

"We have completed all the necessary transiton work and simply await the DNS record to update, an internet process we cannot control the speed of. Our new website will appear shortly. Once again, thank you for your patience

That page is on the old web server, which I believe is not even in the same country as the new one, if your DNS lookup is sending you there still, when it seems pretty much everyone else is routed correctly, then I'm afraid it looks like the issue is something not having updated in the chain between you and GForce.

Basically it would seem that the fault is most likely with your ISP and their DNS server update.

this may do the trick. i've used it many times for my job.

Ok, that may be-but what can I do-hurry up and just wait?

I've been with this ISP for 10 years now and never had this problem with any other web site, including ones around the world in Australia, England, Europe, etc.

I really don't care who's to blame, I just want the problem fixed because it REALLY takes the excitement off of buying a new instrument. Not sure that I even want Imp2 now!

Nope, it didn't work. I still get the same error message that I quoted to Jon H above. Thanks for trying though.

Hi Jon, yes I did realise this and actually did gave kudos for the ability to do this on my first post announcing the PC arrival.

But I was trying to help the user who couldn't find it in his plugin list.

Cannot find the 64Bit version for PC, the installer has no option (or I haven't seen it). Where is the 64Bit version?

There isn't one, as discussed earlier in this thread, that's my next job.

£60? It's not in Euros?

To be honest I don't get involved in that side of things, however if I recall correctly, upgrades are €59 (+VAT if applicable) unless you bought in the blow out, in which case they are €109

If what you're seeing doesn't seem to match up, contact GForce Support and they'll answer your questions and fix any problems that may exist.

Demoing the PC version, at last!

I have a couple of small suggestions and noticings:

* Please add mousewheel scrolling in the extended browser, if possible!

* For the Delay Tempo knob, the display doesn't capitalize "MIDI" and "BPM" as it should (says "Midi" and bpm" instead, which is kinda weird)

* Double-clicking the preset name display to get to the menu of other presets in the currently selected bank is kinda tedious. Would be cool to have it on single right-click, or add a button for extending the menu. Also, it would be great if we could switch the bank from here, too.

* Please add separate up/down pitch bend range controls, if at all possible!

* It would be AWESOME if we could freehand draw the harmonics for user waves! You know, not edit only one at a time, but just drag the mouse over all 24 harmonics, and a curve would be drawn!

* Now this is a big one for me. When in monophonic mode, and I play a legato line with retriggering back to previously held note (like a hammer-on, pull-off on a guitar), and have sustain pedal pressed, impOSCar "forgets" the previous note that is still being held, and doesn't retrigger back. This would be called "last note priority monophonic mode with key-off retrigger". Is it possible to change to this behavior? This makes it easy to play fast solos and still have seemingly perfect legato. Try it yourself: first play a C, then while holding C, tap the E key above it staccato, in mono mode without sustain pedal. This is the proper behavior. Now do the same thing, but press the sustain pedal. Doesn't behave the same... I wish it would, because that's how quite a lot of synths that I've tried (granted, mostly digital ones!) behave - and it wouldn't be bad if impOSCar had the same behavior. If possible!

* If I move the VST .DLL, the standalone .EXE doesn't run anymore. Any way to point the .EXE to the new location of the .DLL? Thanks!

Thanks for the great sounding plugin! I loved every bit of the first imp, now it's even better!
