Tal Dub-II generates an unwanted DC component, a constant signal (i.e. not sinusoidal) which raises up the overall waveform by some dBs. This is very annoying (and in common to amp simulators) because it steals room when you finalize the track with maximizers, limiters and so on.IrionDaRonin wrote:@Bzur
Ciao mate, i just wanted to ask you something about your used effects.
I noticed that you always using an effect called DC Blocker.
I could make an idea about it, but i want to know it from you better.
So what is this exactly?
How it works?
It's really useful for you? I mean, do you have problems with DCs so are you using it? Or do you use it just in case?
I always thought that a DC Blocker was only for waves and not for real time synths. So i have this doubt.
And maybe i could use it for my finished Zebralette track before upload it.
Thanks in advance and sorry for bothering.
Have a good day
The unwanted artifact is present also when you hit the "stop" button in your host; this means that your track doesn't start from 0 db, but with a "step" of xDb, which generates unwanted clicks in the beginning and in the end.
You can eliminate this annoyance with a HP filter, veeery close to 0 Hz, or with a DC blocker, that in fact is a HP filter with some optimizations; I usually put it in the master bus, before limiters and maximizers.
Hope this helps
